Do YOU work in a UK escape room? Join https://www.facebook.com/EGWIU/ I've done a couple more escape rooms than I've reviewed here. I recommend the EXIT series of games by Kosmos for an at-home irritating puzzle solving experience! In so far as video game escape rooms go, I recommend any of the Zero Escape games (Virtue's last reward is the best of the ones I've played). The winning formula for an escape room, to me, is theme+narrative+puzzles (in that order) and I particularly like puzzles whose solution is not just a dial combination to a gym locker padlock!
