Professor Bleehall's Odditorium Emporium & Pie ShoppeEscape Room NoviEscape roomIRLIt plays like an escape room, but it’s more of a “play until the time runs out.” Without spoilers, you have a live GM that host the room kind of like a game show, so having a good GM is really important. Our GM was Chris, and he made the room FANTASTIC. We had a group of 5, and there was never a lag in gameplay. The room was fast pace, fun, and we kept moving the whole time. Overall it was a great room.
Starship: Final VoyageFive Senses Escape RoomEscape roomIRLA fantastic room. It scales in difficulty, and the records are based on the group and broken down on each puzzle. The room itself was well done, and the GM/owner clearly has a passion for escape rooms and seems to be well versed in all levels of experience (the novice to the expert).
Candy Factory ChallengeEscape Room NoviEscape roomIRLNot my favorite room, but the group I was with seemed to really like the room. This is a bit more of a modern room, with more gen 2 and 3 puzzles, and a few lock and key.
Shipwreck IslandEscape Room BrightonEscape roomIRLDid it with two people. A good room, with a lot of interactive parts and clues that weren’t too challenging. A good room for beginners or for people to get their toes wet.
The Jade SkullEscape Room BrightonEscape roomIRLLove most of the rooms at Escape Room Brighton and this one is no exception. The non lock and key puzzles were pretty unique and fun.
Dr. Sulken’s LaboratoryEscape Room BrightonEscape roomIRLOne of the first rooms I did that I really thoroughly enjoyed. Clues are pretty varied, and the room has a level of interaction that you don’t see very often. Overall a great room!
The Harry Houdini TrapThe Fifth Wall Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLI enjoyed the room, but I wouldn’t say it’s a favorite. The backstory behind the room is a nice nod to some Detroit history, and it’s a good variety of non lock and key components. Overall, a good room-a highlight for 5th Wall in my opinion.
Rob the Mob: Break-In At Bubba'sThe Great Escape Room - Royal OakEscape roomIRLDid it with just two people, and we both loved it. A good mix of lock and key and other puzzles.
UFO: Alien VoyageEscape Room BrightonEscape roomIRLOverall I would put this somewhere between like a dislike. I didn’t love it, but the people I did the room with did. So maybe take my opinion with a grain of salt…I’m a sucker for lock and keys, and I feel like there wasn’t a ton of that in there (comparatively).
The Mysterious Office of Dr. TobinMystery Escapes Escape roomIRLProbably one of my favorite escape rooms I’ve done in southeast Michigan. Great special effects, GM/owner was very nice and welcoming, and had a good variation of Gen 1, 2, and 3 stuff.
