We did not make it out, but I believe we were close. Once our time was up and they came in and showed us how to open the lock we got stuck on we felt so silly we’d missed something that in hindsight was so obvious. But we had a blast playing anyways. And I did appreciate that it was a low tech room. There were I believe 3 sort of low tech locks, and the rest were old no tech good old combo or key locks, which is my preference. We did have our 5 year old in tow today, and it’s normally just my husband and I. I’d like to think if it had been just the two of us, we’d have escaped. lol. But trying to raise another escape room junkie and gotta get him started some time.

My niece decided last minute she really wanted to do something for her birthday, and this place was a few minutes away from where we had lunch so we booked their next opening. It got off to a rocky start. When I called to book, the woman emphasized that we needed to arrive 15 minutes early and might need to look for parking. We got there 15 minutes early, there is a large private lot so parking was easy, we were greeted, and then just had to sit there waiting. And there’s not anything to do like in other places where there’s at least puzzles to keep you entertained. But once our game master took us back to our room, he was great. My niece realized her and her friend had already done the room we booked recently so the game master switched us to another one right away. I was a little bummed that there wasn’t much variety to the types of locks. There was one key, one letter combo lock, and all of the rest were 3 or 4 digit locks. So until the end, you didn’t know which lock the code you’d cracked might be for. Luckily we had a large group so we could try all the similar locks at once. I would have liked more variety in the puzzles instead of just figuring out a bunch of letter combos. I think there might have been one or two sensors two. But again, our game master was great. He gave us several clues. And the kids were super excited (ok, so were us adults) to have been able to escape in time.
