Escape IT - The SewersEscape ITEscape roomIRLStrongly consider paying the extra for the private experience. In a public room you never know what kind of people you’ll be paired with. I spent the game annoyed and my daughter who is usually much more easy going was a bit upset as well. One lady spent the game moving from room to room and leaning against the wall because we had Alpha Escape Woman input group. At one point she literally tipped a clue right out of my daughters hand. CONSIDER THE PRIVATE UPGRADE! That said, it’s a fun time. Is it a “true” escape room? Sort of. There are puzzles and games that you need to solve but, given the nature of this room, you’re going to move forward anyway. I will say, from what I saw, our group only actually solved one, possibly two rooms. (Alpha was not actually GOOD at escape rooms…just saying). But it didn’t even matter because, once we realized how it was going, we embraced the game and had a great time! And that was due to the staff, who did a fantastic job!

The CabinBlack Cats Number One Escape Room [prev. Number One Escape Room]Escape roomIRLThis was a fantastic experience. This was actually our first escape room ever and actually got us hooked. Sadly we’ve yet to find any that compare, unless it’s The Shed, which is the second piece of The Cabin. The atmosphere sucks you in from the first minute. It’s spooky and there’s an urgency in the air but it’s not out and out scary. Most importantly, it’s fun!
Witch HouseBlack Cats Number One Escape Room [prev. Number One Escape Room]Escape roomIRLFun. The games were good and there’s a bonus game as well. A nice mix of tech and mechanical. Some very cool pop culture nods that you don’t need to know to solve the puzzles. The puzzles themselves are straightforward. We solved one by accident missing half the clues and then got fixated on the bonus l, thinking it was the missing clue…but that made it fun. We did beat it with 11 minutes to spare and they let us go back in to try the bonus with no hints. We didn’t solve the bonus due to the aforementioned fixation. When she did tell us what we’d missed we wanted to slap our heads. Hindsight is 20/20. All in all, a pretty good room!
Escape IT - The FunhouseEscape ITEscape roomIRLWe did this right after Escape It part 1. It’s the better of the two in my opinion but that may be because it was just the two of us. The staff is amazing, the actors clearly love what they’re doing. The puzzles fit the narrative and flow from room to room in a way that makes sense. When they’re helping you they are very, very subtle about it. I can not recommend this one highly enough. Every minute of this experience was exceptional for us.
