House Of Eternal Return [Immersive Art]Meow WolfEscape roomOther Love the place, but it’s absolutely not an escape room and shouldn’t be on here. I’m giving it a thumbs down not because it isn’t worth the visit, but because of you’re looking for an escape room you’ll be disappointed to find this isn’t one.
NoirESCAPE! AlaskaEscape roomIRLThis room was a ton of fun and very well-designed. The puzzles were clever and impressively well-constructed, and they'd clearly put a lot of attention into the room's theme and ambiance. There's a strong tobacco smoke smell in just the NOIR game area that fit the theme well, but one of our party members had scent sensitivities and initially wasn't sure she'd be able to stay in the room long enough to complete the game. Be careful about this one if you know that's an allergy/migraine trigger/etc for you. You're never locked in though, and it's possible to step outside if you need to. [A mild spoiler: you do eventually move into areas without the smoke smell, so there's in-game respite as well.] I'd highly recommend this room and look forward to trying their other one.
The TombESCAPE! AlaskaEscape roomIRLFun and visually appealing, but it’s pretty short. What there was was fun, I just wish there was more of it. We were worried we were behind only to realize we’d just unlocked the exit and the game was over. There’s enough room to wander without getting in each other’s way, but I’d recommend a small team. The room is heavily reliant on a book of clues, which means the team can often only be working on one puzzle at a time with all but one or two players backseat driving instead of everyone having something to do. I’ve seen very linear puzzles that do a better job of making sure everyone can be participating at once if they want to, so this was pretty disappointing. Just breaking the clue book out into multiple sheets so the team can share would help if they don’t want to remove it as an element.
