Lockbuster Video60 to Escape - SchaumburgEscape roomIRLOverall, the room is really cool! The set is fun and it has a few set pieces that are really impressive. Game play is decent, if maybe a touch on the basic side. The puzzles are fun, but none of them particularly stand out as overly original. In all, this is honestly a fun game. I would definitely recommend it, particularly if you have newer players in your group.
Starship: Final Frontier60 to Escape - GurneeEscape roomIRLHonestly, even more than normal, 60 to escape out did themselves with set design. The atmosphere was fantastic and immersive. The gameplay was fun for the most part, with interesting puzzles. If I were nitpicking, there are a couple of puzzles that I think could have been modified a bit to make them flow smoother, but overall, it was a fun experience from a puzzle standpoint. This is definitely in my top 3 for this location, and that is saying something for a franchise that has a lot of solid games.
Executive DisorderTwisted Limits Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis room has really good puzzle flow! The set design is simple, but effective. I have played the passage at twisted limits as well and honestly, from a puzzle standpoint, this was more fun. Really good room and I highly recommend it!
I Wish: An Illinois Theatre ProductionCU Adventures in Time and SpaceEscape roomIRLThis is a very interesting experience. It is definitely a mixture of an escape room and a play, which is pretty fun. The set design is fantastic, the actors were great and the story was a fun play on the musical “Into the Woods.” That being said, the escape room aspect of the room was not quite up to par with the other CU adventure rooms. The puzzles and puzzle flow could have used a little work. Many of the puzzles were either too simple, or too complicated with unclear objectives. Not trying to say this was a bad escape room, I have played many that are worse, but it definitely felt lacking compared to the puzzling masterpieces that are CU adventures other games. As for the play side of things, it was quite fun! It was cool to be able to interact with the actors and exist inside of the stage for the play. That being said, at times the story seems to lose its way a tiny bit, but that might also be due to the breaks in the story for puzzling. In all it was definitely an enjoyable experience and I am glad to have gotten one of the limited run tickets! Rumor has it that they might be extending the run, and if they do, I would definitely recommend getting some tickets. If you are a fan of plays, it is a unique and interesting performance. If you are a big escape room fan, it is a very story driven room. If, like me, you love both escape rooms and plays, it takes some of the cool aspects of both and combines them into a very enjoyable experience.

The game flow was fun, the puzzles were mostly interesting, although there was a bit too much of the “search and find” type puzzle for my taste in the room. Otherwise, it was pretty good! A bit on the easy side, but I was in a larger group of enthusiasts, so that also might explain it. Not to throw shade, but definitely better than a lot of other places in the area, so I would recommend checking it out if you are looking to play!
