Timeliner: Train Through TimeThe Escape Game - DowntownEscape roomIRLConnor was our gamemaster for this game and he was super sweet! I feel like my group got along with him really well, but also I think he’s just the type of person to get along well with everyone! The room itself was also super neat and had a few different kind of “settings”.
Legend of the YetiThe Escape Game - DowntownEscape roomIRLI’ve done over 40 escape rooms and just did not enjoy this one. The game master was nudging the whole way when in the beginning I asked for less if any nudges, the room design just wasn’t as great as their other rooms either and after seeing the first room the rest was disappointing in my opinion. I love the Berry hill and opry mills TEG so I was kind of disappointed but maybe it was just wrong day wrong game master they can really make or break the experience. Also just to add I did let this GM know we were all for the most part VERY experienced and I would rather not escape than be handheld.
Prison BreakThe Escape Game - DowntownEscape roomIRLJen was my groups gamemaster for this play of prison break. They were very sweet and helpful throughout the whole experience. My friends and I had previously played this game at the berry hill location so we made it out relatively fast, but the room had some differences design wise that surprised us so that was a cool experience!
The Cabin: Final ChapterEscape Hour AustinEscape roomIRLMiranda and Preston were awesome and my team and I loved them! The games themselves had some cool designs. We played all three cabins. Cabin 2 was the best design and puzzle wise in my opinion. Our only issues we had were with management and a few game aspects. Before I start listing said issues I should mention that we are not a difficult group we do everything we should and always get there early with waiver completed. Our only fault is that usually we don’t know how to shut up. We were a scared group even though we all are scare actors we were made unaware of certain actor aspects of the game and we were terrified. We all froze and were unable to complete much of the room in the first 30 minutes, but two of the group members began feeling sick and one has some heart issues so Miranda offered to remove actors. Before Miranda could turn down her radio, we heard the manager very clearly annoyed with us over the radio. Which is unwarranted because they don’t pause time and they didn’t have to send anyone home, the only time we were wasting was our own clock ticking. Unfortunately we also had to request two flashlights because we couldn’t see more than an inch in front of us which is great for the scare aspect but not so great for seeing certain locks. The amount of light and amount of crawling was also disclosed nowhere. Another thing that was not disclosed was the level of volume. There were multiple times all of us had to cover our ears from the intensity of certain sounds right by our heads, sometimes even in smaller spaces. They also don’t have timers which wasn’t a huge issue, but we would have appreciated being able to see how much time we had left. I get that that level of scare is sometimes what is wanted, but when a group doesn’t want that level of scare you should have accommodations such as flashlights. Once again the GM’s were great, they even stopped for a moment to check on me after I stupidly hit my head which was appreciated, and the games were great too I just wish there was more clarity on the website to disclose what the actors could or couldn’t do.
Nashville Nightmare Haunted HouseNashville NightmareHauntHaunted houseThe actors going over rules and wandering were great and so were quite a few of the actors in the houses. While most of the actors were great there were definitely some that tainted my experience I’m sensitive to sound but I knew that in advance and most loud sounds I was fine with some actors were just like almost touching airhorns and loud taser things to your ear and repeatedly triggering them which pissed my friends and I off. We did the mansion house first and it’s was fantastic, the others weren’t scary to me, but still fun. I got really pissed off in school I didn’t get startled once (I’m easy to scare) and it was where all of the repeatedly loud and annoying actors were.
Search for the CureEscape Experience - NashvilleEscape roomIRLI’m not one to leave bad reviews but I reached out multiple times (email, number, Instagram dm) to get this resolved with zero response. This was the first game I played with them and the customer service was horrible not to mention the fact the ENTIRE third room was left open with all of the locks and keys for the room just laying on a table. Nothing was done to rectify this but still we gave them a second chance and played another room (inheritance) with no additional discounts offered other than the 2nd game in a day one that WE asked for. That room was also once again not fully reset and every time we were given a clue for either game it was something we had already solved and moved on from. The cure room design was interesting and pretty immersive but definitely didn’t outweigh the negatives.
