Project DeltaCubic EscapeEscape roomIRLCompleted this room with a group of 2. The set up was great and immersive. We enjoyed the effects and especially the 2nd “part” of the game after we get ourselves out from a certain room. It was unexpected and kept us on our toes. Some of the tech was unreliable but eventually worked themselves out. Would recommend this room! Great for a group of 2-4 in my opinion.
HostageEDscapade GamesEscape roomIRLMy group of 6 completed this room and what a ride it was. The atmosphere and setting was definitely spooky (I am a scaredy cat and generally a jumpy person) but the GMs were helpful and make it a fun experience. I do think the experience might’ve been better with maybe 4 players rather than 6 but my whole group enjoyed it regardless. They did “personalize” the game in a certain way that none of us expected and it that was very memorable for all of us. Would definitely recommend this room for everyone to try at least once. I believe there are side puzzles that can be completed and seems like the room is possibly updated here and there so I do think there is always potential to come and play again.
Dark AltarOmescape - San JoseEscape roomIRLDespite the name of the room, this is not a scary room. I completed with room with a group of 4 and it felt like the right amount of people. Out of the other rooms I’ve completed at Omescape, this one would have to be my least favorite, it is not a bad room at all but wasn’t as memorable for me. The final puzzle was very confusing and at the end we asked the GM to explain it to us. We were still a bit confused at the end but overall had a good time regardless.
Battle Of Xu'QuaEDscapade GamesEscape roomIRLMy partner and I played this game back when it was still in it’s beta stage so not sure how much of it has changed. Back then we were able to choose to a certain character (reminded me of DnD) and we were able to incorporate that into our experience. The set design for this game was amazing and there was a good amount of puzzles. Would consider attempting this one again to see what has changed but enjoyed it then and assume it’s just as good now!
Room 2217Cubic EscapeEscape roomIRLThis room is one of my most memorable from the ones I’ve played in the Bay Area. The building does look a little run down but inside it is a different story. Cubic escape has done such a great job with a rich story line and a very immersive hotel/motel type set up. A lot of puzzles that kept my party of 2 busy throughout. Would recommend!
Perfect CrimePanIQ Room - San JoseEscape roomIRLMy partner and I attempted this room and did not compete it within the time given. This room was rated their most difficult at this PanIQ location and felt that to be true. We could’ve potentially competed it with more people in our group. Highly recommend more than 2 players for this one.
