Henchmen’s HeistThe Nemesis ClubEscape roomIRLI was awake and happy the entire time, which means a lot coming from a 5 month old strapped to her mom the entire time! All the adults were laughing and smiling even before the room started, which made me happy, too! The room was colorful, full of sound, and really interactive. Even though I didn’t touch anything, I had a great time watching everyone else solve challenging puzzles and do goofy things. The rare room that didn’t make me cry or fall asleep. This earns Henchmen’s Heist the Golden Rattle award. ⭐️🪇
Winnie The PoohMindTrap Escape Room - MurrietaEscape roomIRLI played in the garden, cavorted with bees, and put on a party hat. As a one-year-old, this is about the pinnacle of my life. However, in one cinematic moment, both my infant self and all the adult players were equally transfixed and delighted. Talk about a game that's sweeter than hunny.

The Time Machine | Chapter 2: ContinuumDynamic Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLI barely had time to nap, that’s how fast my parents got out of this room! Even though I wasn’t born when my parents did Chapter 1, I still followed along with Chapter 2’s plot (strapped to my mom); Dad does recommend playing back-to-back, though. I liked how well certain things were hidden, and all the tactile, unique props looked fun to manipulate if I only had the grip strength. The final room frustratingly only had one puzzle that could only really be worked on by two people, so mommy and I could only stand back and watch and fart (to be clear, I was the one farting—my mom is a true lady). I wish there was more to do, and I wish there were more time to play and nap, but my parents did have fun!
Quest to the Forbidden Temple | Chapter 1: The Secret GalleryDynamic Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLI was a little fussy in the first part of this room, as mommy and I were with 5 other people in a narrow space, so we couldn’t play with everyone else. As the room opened up, I too warmed up to all the fun, unique interactions in this art museum. I’ve only been to one art museum, and this was my first heist room, but both me and my parents (who have been to many museums and escape room heists) could enjoy the creative interactions. My mommy was especially happy to have a music puzzle be the final puzzle, and any room that makes my parents happy is music to my ears!
7 Deadly SinsEscapology - TempeEscape roomIRLThe biggest sin this room committed was shooting fog while I was trying to sleep! Mommy had a great time with some of the tactile props, daddy liked the story concept (but wished for better integration with the puzzles), and I liked how I could nap for most of the room. While some moments are creepy, there’s nothing that will cause you to fill your diaper, aside from underclued puzzles and some janky tech.
The BreakupLost Cruces Escape RoomEscape roomIRLWow, that was quick! I didn’t even have time to take a nap! This one extended puzzle had mommy and daddy crawling over the floor, searching the room, scratching their heads, and googling on their phones. Since I don’t have a phone or even complete object permanence, this room’s outside knowledge was tough. I think kids older than me would like the searching element, but there’s not enough for adults to really do a lot. Still, it’s fun if you’re hungry for more puzzles after doing both rooms at Lost Cruces.
Batman™: The Dark Knight ChallengeEscapology - TempeEscape roomIRLHoly heatwave, Batman! This experience started off on the wrong foot for me and mom (who benevolently took on the task of carrying me) as the AC was broken. The staff tried to fix it with a fan, but it was just not enough. The first room was also too small for a group of 6, and daddy said the puzzles were so easy in this first room that baby could do them (but he didn’t let me). Shortly after the first section, mommy and I left: Mommy was hungry for AC, the other escapees were hungry for enough to do, and I was hungry for boob.
The Path To EnlightenmentEludesions Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThe most peaceful place I’ve escaped from besides mom’s womb! I liked how the linear puzzle flow was easy enough for a baby like me to follow but were challenging enough that all the adults had to really work together to find the solutions. Between the calming music, beautiful set design, and bubbling water feature, I was able to get a nice nap in, too. :)
20,000 Leagues Under The SeaMystery Escape Room - TucsonEscape roomIRLMy first escape room! My mom loved the audio puzzle. Dad struggled with the wear on some props and unclear signposting, but my parents (literally) carried me to victory. The set was playful, and there were some fair challenges. Full disclosure: I did also fall asleep in this room.
