Bros for Life: Fraternity HeistThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLVery fun theming and honestly this room really got the best of me and another intermediate player, a lot of the puzzles were very tricky! I enjoyed that some of the puzzles were different and made you think differently.
The Satirical Miracle: A Jolly Tale Of Granny's BlackmailThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLA very cute room filled with great, mostly linear puzzle designs that ended with two intermediate level players needing minimal hints, but also a couple extra minutes to solve this room! I could see this being a group beginning room for a larger group. The staff were great as always and excited to come back for more rooms!
The Society of Adventures and ExplorersEdge EscapeEscape roomIRLWe did the holiday overlay of this room and had a great time! I would say this room is most optimal for about 2-3 people, as me and another friend who are intermediate players solved this with only a couple hints in the allotted time. There is a good amount of carry over of clues and things you need from room to room, which is cool. A pretty linear puzzle, where one step clearly leads to the next. Fun design and fun puzzles!
Save the Magic SchoolEdge EscapeEscape roomIRLSave the Magic School is a fun, non-linear puzzle where two intermediate players can solve with limited hints and time to spare. We really enjoyed the fun Harry Potter theming and the non-linear nature of the puzzles!
WonderlandEdge EscapeEscape roomIRLOverall the design of this room is very cute, puzzles were super fun and a group of two intermedia, experienced players can play this with plenty of time to spare and little hints. I think a group of more than 3-4 would be too many for this room, as there isn’t a whole lot to do in comparison to other rooms I have played. Some of the puzzles didn’t trigger right away, so try them again.
Mystery CrewCville Escape RoomEscape roomIRLOverall this escape room was a fun Scooby Doo inspired challenge that had lots of different paths to solve. This was a moderate challenge for 3 people with basic experience playing. I think advanced players would solve this rather easily, making it a good room for a beginner-medium skill level player.
Trapped In NeverlandThe Escape CompanyEscape roomIRLOverall, this room has the potential to honestly be a very solid 9/10 experience. This is a room that features no word or digit locks, but finds creative ways for players to solve puzzles that advance themselves in the experience. The theming is great, the atmosphere is very creative and the difficulty was just where it needed to be for two intermediate-level players. Unfortunately, execution was lacking. Several (at least 3 times) puzzles did not activate when we solved them correctly the first time, leading to us solving it incorrectly and being thrown off, only to have the game master come over the speaker and say “try this to make it trigger.” One puzzle in particular was a “wrong answer” when the clue was directly pointed at…it felt more just intentionally misleading than attempting to be deceiving. The staff was friendly, and it was a very busy day between two GMs. I have to say, however, we attempted to ask for a nudge for over 3-4 minutes by waving our hands and asking for a clue, only to not receive a response. It took away from time needed and frustrated a bit. Overall, this is a 6.5/10 experience but has so much room to be amazing, if the execution was better.
OutlawedThe Escape CompanyEscape roomIRLI was a bit hesitant to book seeing other reviews, but this escape room is under new ownership as of the past year (per the game master) and overall, we really enjoyed Outlawed! The puzzles were fun and had a couple of unique elements I had never seen before. Our group of 8 had plenty to do and the opening scene actually splits you into two groups, which was perfect for our team. Overall, really fun time!
