This was my first time at Escape FLA, and looking back on it, I wish I had played one of their other rooms first rather than this one. Blackstone was for sure not their best room, the atmosphere was not immersive and the puzzles were more frustrating than fun.
The gameplay was alright, the puzzles were not very interesting or surprising, and overall the room felt very empty.
The atmosphere was not great, for a top secret facility theme, it felt like a room in a derelict office building that had some second-hand furniture thrown into it.
Our game master was fantastic! Hints were super helpful, and she was excellent when it came to staying in step with what puzzle we were working on.
Particularly interesting or different
No
The story was not very good, it was confusing what the end goal was and overall felt very unfinished.
The puzzles were pretty predictable, but figuring out a lot of the locks were hard, not so much deciphering the combinations, but figuring out which combo went to which lock.
