Magic Lamp

A wonderful game from an amazing company. Well done. One note, this game could use some TLC as several elements are showing heavy wear. Best use of set to show an unusual environment, and one of the most fun transitions between spaces I’ve seen in a long time.

We had sooo much fun with this game!!! The immersion was so cute and thematic!!!! The clues were challenging but not too hard!!! 🙌🏻 loved it and can’t wait to come back to do the other rooms!!!

We always enjoy Gnome and Raven’s room. Magic Lamp is one of our favorites. Great puzzles and a lot of fun.

8.3 took me and my family 45 minutes to escape. Game master was very good!

Man I hate to say it but I think I have to stop letting Room Escape Artist’s reviews get my hype about rooms. I went into this expecting something amazing and got - an above average room, sure, especially for the area, but the puzzles were just okay! too many combination locks that seemed out of place in context and lots of reading clues. It was fine - but i wanted more!

Really fun set design and cool effects. The puzzles were a bit non linear and we had some technical difficulties were there game master had to come in to reset the electronics. Overall a good time and we will be back to try the other ones.

8.9/10 The sets and designs of the rooms at Gnome and Raven are some of the best and biggest we have seen in Virginia. Stepping into Magic Lamp took us into “a whole new world.” We were immediately immersed in this world the moment the game master started talking to us. Magic Lamp is one of the best rooms we have done in Virginia. Everything from the story, to the set, to the puzzles were all so very well done. There were puzzles and activities across the room that we thought were very well done and stood out massively, it just fit so well with the theme. There was one puzzle that we felt could have been done better, you almost had to get lucky to find and solve it. Overall, we HIGHLY recommend coming to Gnome & Raven and trying any of their rooms, but we do have to say Magic Lamp is probably number one for us!

Gnome and Raven is next level amazing when it comes to escape rooms. We had 4 people and it kept us hopping the whole time. The props and atmosphere is incredible. I don't want to give anything away, but I highly recommend this one. You won't be disappointed. This is my very favorite escape game I've ever done.

Very creative room with impressive theme. Puzzles allow you to spread out to solve so you aren’t all clustered around 1 thing. I recommend about 4 people for this room for the most fun/efficiency. We did intermediate difficulty but I feel like I could have increased that for more challenge. Only downside was low walls so you could hear people screaming from the next room constantly and that made communication and focus tough.

Gnome and Raven is the premium spot in the Ravenchase family. Their rooms have great sets and very good puzzles. Jasper took great care of us. This game and the theme was a lot of fun. While we enjoyed it a lot, I wouldn’t say the high cost for two people ($140 for a 60 minute game) is worth it, but if you can get a discount or go with a group of four or more, then it’s well worth it.
