As a skilled team of thieves, you have been approached by an international jewel thief to plan and execute the heist of a lifetime – stealing Mr. Arthur Willard’s prized possession, the “Jubilee Diamond”. The diamond is worth millions of dollars and is hidden in a safe at Mr Willard’s private residence. The heist will require careful planning, precise execution, and nerves of steel. The jewel thief has handpicked each member of the team for their unique skills. Together, you must work seamlessly to overcome any obstacles that stand in your way, outsmart the security measures, and make a clean getaway with the diamond. But with the stakes so high and the consequences of failure so severe, even the smallest mistake could prove costly. It’s a high-risk mission, but with the right strategy and flawless execution, you stand to gain the ultimate prize.

12 escape rooms

This was our second visit to The Great Escape Klemzig, and once again the experience was excellent. The Inside Job is a well-constructed, immersive room that makes great use of the venue’s space. The heist theme was engaging from the start, and the transition between rooms gave the feeling of moving through a real mansion. The puzzles were logical, varied, and well-paced — we appreciated that the design didn’t rely on endless padlocks, and that everything was clearly lit and intuitive to interact with. Our group of seven worked well together, with each person’s strengths contributing to the team effort. The game master provided a clear briefing and monitored our progress closely, stepping in with concise hints when needed. A few small touches, such as the “boss” calling to give instructions, added to the immersion without feeling gimmicky. Overall, this was another well-run and satisfying experience, and we’ll definitely be back to try a third room.

Gameplay

The gameplay was well thought out and rewarding. Puzzles were varied, logical, and relied on teamwork rather than trial and error. The difficulty level felt balanced, offering enough challenge to keep us engaged without becoming frustrating. The clue system worked efficiently, and the game master’s timing and professionalism enhanced the experience.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere was one of the game’s strengths. The set design was convincing and consistent with the story — it genuinely felt like exploring a high-end mansion. Lighting and sound were used effectively to create mood without compromising visibility or focus. The overall presentation was theatrical, polished, and clearly built with attention to detail.

Customer service

The staff were professional, friendly, and clearly take pride in what they do. Our game master was enthusiastic, gave a confident briefing, and provided timely support when required. From arrival to debrief, everything ran smoothly and was handled with care. The Great Escape team continues to deliver consistently strong customer service.

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

The room stood out for its polished design and the way it connected the story and puzzles. The communication system with the “boss” was a creative touch that added realism, and the layout made clever use of the available space. There were a few standout moments that were well-executed and memorable, though best left as surprises.

Story

The story developed naturally as the game progressed. Starting as a straightforward heist and building in intensity as new elements were uncovered gave it a sense of momentum. It was cohesive, easy to follow, and integrated smoothly with the puzzles without ever slowing down the gameplay.
