Hello James, thanks for taking the time to share this review. We truly value all feedback to help us grow and improve, though we're sorry to hear that this visit didn't live up to your expectations. Since we didn't get the opportunity to speak afterwards, we'd be happy to connect and discuss in more detail (and avoid spoilers here), if you'd like. It does seem you may have gotten a bit unlucky that day, as what you described doesn't reflect the typical experience or feedback we usually receive. Mansion Murder is actually quite popular, based on its design and layered challenges, though of course, we completely understand that every group has their own preferences and interests. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the temporary and intermittent issue that was discovered with this fairly tech-heavy room. Unfortunately, we couldn't fully resolve it prior to your game, but the team did their best to preserve the intended experience, especially since that wouldn't result in missing any puzzles (FYI - your partner actually completed that maze early on). After reviewing your game more closely, the responses may have been more timely than they felt in the moment, but noticed it took a few custom messages for the game master to fully understand what was happening, as the puzzle wasn't being solved quite as intended. Once they realized you had the right idea, they made the call to let you move forward to avoid wasting more time. We also try to strike a balance when giving clues, offering just enough help without giving too much away, based on player preference. That can be tricky to balance at times and can understandably feel frustrating in the moment, which we want to avoid. This game is definitely one of our more challenging rooms, with a lot puzzles to work through. While we've hosted larger groups by special request (some up to 13 players, some with multiple wheelchairs), we typically suggest around 4-6 players for the best experience, since our games are designed for smaller private groups working together collaboratively anyway. We're also very glad to hear you appreciated the customer service from the staff, as our team tries really hard to provide the best possible experience tailored to each group. While we missed the mark for you this time, we hope you'll consider giving us another chance to deliver the proper experience that we both expect. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to discuss further, and we wish you all the best in your future escape adventures!
