The Cookhouse

The puzzle needs to face lift as they are getting a bit old. However, I still enjoyed it regardless.

This room was so much fun and was so interactive! I love when rooms have an interactive environment! One of the best parts of 13th hours escape rooms is that they avoid having unnecessary locks and have creative ways to unlock the next clue or door! Definitely going back to complete the Wizard of Oz!

13th hour is our favorite escape room. We are constantly trying to find new escape rooms since we have done everything around our home already but we always end up back at 13th hour. The decor is PHENOMENAL, storylines all line up and follow each other. Rooms are all challenging but fun. Slightly scary!

What an awesome place! This room was so well put together. It had us on our feet! Some of the puzzles really stumped us but it was challenging in a good way. The game master was awesome and helpful and gave good hints. We love the story line! We are definitely coming back!

For whatever reason we saved this room for second to last in the John Hayden series even though I’m pretty sure it’s one of the easier ones! This room theme was super fun and an awesome addition to the “John Hayden House”. I actually thought this was super fun and the tech in this room was great. I wouldn’t say it was my fav out of them all but it was still so good and I highly recommend!

LOVE this room! 13th Hour does a great job of paying attention to details and really putting effort into rooms. Fits right into the John Hayden story and theme.

Ok so this room was very well put together and the amount of twists and turns that this room took were incredible. With that being said the puzzles were WAY too obscure. Some of them made absolutely no sense and other puzzles were subjective. I was also doing what the puzzle was required of and when I asked for a hint to only have them say the exact thing I’m doing. I had to basically say that’s what I’m doing then magically something would open so I don’t know what that was about. If you are an escape roomer who loves the atmosphere then this is the room for you, but if you have a hard time REALLY thinking outside the box then this is not for you. Honestly my least favorite from this company so far.

This is a good room. I disliked some of the logic behind the puzzles, but it was a solid experience.

The set was really cool! I definitely did get some of the horror movie vibes that others have mentioned, but I don’t agree with it being graphic/gorey. There was just a little bit of the gore factor, but barely anything. It was well put together, and a bit on the smaller side for the 13th Hour rooms, but still multiple rooms within itself. Overall it was a really fun, easy room. 2 experienced players and 2 non-experienced players and we got out in just under 40 minutes. I’d recommend this room for a group of 2-4. One complaint: at 13th Hour a lot of noise can be heard from others in the rooms next to yours. So, it can be distracting. You’ll also hear their hint sound go off and run to your hint board thinking it’s yours only to find nothing 😅

Another great room from the 13th hour company. Loved the set as always from here and the story was pretty spooky! Im not one for gore which made a clue or two a little harder for me but my partner had no problems. Only complaint is all the rooms need more A/C honestly might come with a fan next time LOL but overall another hit from 13th hour
