We had a great time. The theme was well done and immersive. One of the puzzles was already open unfortunately. Our game master was super great and apologetic.

Actually the COOLEST storyline of a room Iโve seen so far. Absolutely loved the puzzle intensity and the ending
The flow was pretty great but I feel like the total darkness distracted me slightly
Super immersive! The smells and decor felt like you legitimately were in a dark forest
Super nice people!

It was extremely dark (but I grabbed like 3 flashlights they provided plus my phone flash light and also they told us we could keep the door open if we wanted light)

Fun room! Nicely decorated, intuitive puzzles and great story telling that leaves you satisfied at the end. Some of the puzzles were a bit of a hassle, but overall, a great experience. As a New Jersey natives we appreciated playing a well designed game thatโs native to our own state.

A bit older style of room, but fun and charming nonetheless! Definitely worth playing, especially at the price point they offer.

Iโm a pretty seasoned escape room player, and unfortunately, my experience at Legend of the Pines was disappointing. We did not escape, and several aspects of the room made the experience frustrating. One major issue was the game masterโit was clear they werenโt paying close attention to our game. We repeatedly received hints for things we had already solved rather than the information we actually needed, which wasted valuable time and added to our frustration. Beyond that, the room itself had several problems. The standard puzzles didnโt feel intuitive, and on top of that, there were multiple puzzles that required a physical component to solve. While I personally donโt enjoy these types of challenges, I can usually work through them. However, in this game, they were so finicky and frustrating that we spent over 20 minutes strugglingโnot because we didnโt understand the puzzle, but because of the execution. Also, they explicitly stated at the beginning that everything in the room was single-useโbut that is not true in this room. There was an element that had to be reused, which threw us off. Overall, I wouldnโt recommend this escape room, and I donโt plan on returning to Solve It Sherlock. There are much better options out there in New Jersey for escape room enthusiasts.

Hello hKeller. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We always appreciate thoughtful feedbackโespecially from experienced playersโand weโre sorry to hear that Legend of the Pines didnโt meet your expectations. Weโve reviewed your comments and wanted to speak to a couple of points you raised. Our rooms are carefully designed to be intuitive, immersive, and fairโand while we do incorporate some light physical interaction to fit the theme, all elements are thoroughly tested for clarity and safety. From what we can tell, one of the earlier items may have been mistakenly reused in a later puzzle, which could explain the difficulty you encountered. For clarity: each item in the room IS intended for single use only, and weโve reminded our game masters to emphasize that more clearly during the briefing. We also take game mastering seriously and regret that your hint experience felt off. Our team has been coached on this, and weโre reinforcing internal protocols to ensure hints are timely, relevant, and supportive of a smooth gameplay experience. While we understand this visit didnโt hit the mark, we truly value your input and hope youโll consider giving us another shot in the future. If you'd like to discuss your experience further, feel free to give us a callโweโre always happy to talk and learn. Thanks again, The Solve It Sherlock Team ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ๐

A little easy for experienced escape room players. 7/10 rating is a little lenient if you know basic escape puzzle ideas.

This room was awesomely themed! Tommy was a great game master, he only nudged us when necessary! The ambiance was stellar and I was told ot was done by a haunts house company (which shows) but the puzzles were all home grown! Apart from the one key puzzle, the room was an utter blast! Head up, and give it a try, it's truly a good time. Keep the number between 2 and 4 though, otherwise the room m8ght feel super small.
Tommy was a king! He even put up with me trying to talk about other rooms and as I am super chatty, I feel for him!

There is a step, and a tiny room that would be hard/impossible for disabled players.

Pretty nice room. Appropriately low-tech and was a nice change to be very dark - although a door that shouldnโt have been open was. Clues were slightly obtuse but it all made sense at the end.
