The Haunted Hotel [ex Escape Artist: The Final Seance]

We had a great time with this! The theming was really cool, and though it was mainly a lot of locks, the puzzles to solve them were super fun! The only thing I’ll say is the end was kind of lackluster in comparison to the buildup we were getting. But even still, an awesome room! Easily done with 2 people who’ve played a lot of rooms, at most 4!

Despite having a decent bit of escape room experience among 3/4 of us, we did not manage to complete this one. Our gamemaster said we still did great and that this is the establishment’s most difficult room with only a 60% escape rate. That being said, it was enjoyable, but I do feel that a couple puzzles were too obtuse for my liking. I know that could just be the loss talking! But there is one part in particular that we were fully stuck on until the timer ran out, despite KNOWING what to do, we couldn’t physically get it right. It was toward the end and I wonder if we could have finished if that one part wasn’t so frustrating. But so be it! Tough experience for your average player. A bit creepy but not much. Worth the attempt.

Not as hard as the description made it out to be. The Great Escape Room staff said that their control group for this room had 4 people, and that the only 18% of the groups escape. Knowing that this is their hardest room and that this is labeled as "expert" here on Morty, I was expecting this to be a lot more challenging. My friend and I escaped with 9 minutes to spare, and we felt like the puzzles could've been more challenging. The room itself was great, the story was cohesive, the game master was friendly and professional, and it was all immersive, but the puzzles/clues were a bit too straightforward. Once we found a clue, it was very clear what we had to do next. The story was good, but it was a bit anti-climatic, as another reviewer wrote. Also, this wasn't as spooky as I thought it'd be. I'd personally give this room a 7/10 in terms of difficulty. For comparison, I thought Prison Break and The Heist (from the Escape Game company) and Solitude (from Big Screens Escape Rooms) were more difficult.

This place is great! I did all of them and they have are so advance, theatrical and innovative escape rooms. Love it

This room had an awesome theming! We came on vacation and were so glad we did. We had a remote game master, but they did a fantastic job. A few tech problems and anti climactic ending, but it was still enjoyable!

Our game master is so energetic, he is so funny! The room is awesome, puzzle very logical. Very entertaining. Highly recommend.
