‘Heist,’ like all of Quest Room’s experiences, is a stand out for its theme. The variety of puzzle difficulty, types, and technology, combined with the attention to ensuring the puzzles largely maintain a sense of realism, is what makes ‘Heist’ special.
Gameplay
The gameplay flowed well, and the care given to ensuring the puzzles made diegetic sense was impressive. Some puzzle props/elements were delivered earlier than they were ultimately used, but this didn’t impact enjoyment of the game — it just gives players a few extra things to investigate/explore before returning later. The variety of puzzle weight, type and technology made ‘Heist’ special.
Atmosphere
It’s a corporate-styled heist, and it does well in that theme. The atmosphere/rooms feel more familiar than Quest’s other experiences, so the aesthetic style doesn’t strike you immediately, but it works for the room.

This was our first time at Quest Room and we were very excited based on the great reviews. I’ll be honest in that I was expecting a bit more from the room. Visually, it was very dull and didn’t have any of the wow factor I expect from rooms nowadays. We’ll be back to Quest Rooms to try some other options.

This was a really cool room! Puzzles were really challenging, which took out some of the flow. But on the other hand really had you thinking stuff through. Setting is the typical bank heist, but setup and decoration are well done and puzzles are quite mechanical and techy, which was real fun. Ideal player number here, I would actually say, is only 2 (experienced) players. We did this one with 4 people, and it was a lot of standing around and having nothing to do or being in the way of each other. The owner and game master is nice and gives his all to leave an impression, which he really did :D

This was probably one of the most high tech rooms I’ve done on the GC/Bris. It’s a fun theme, some of the puzzles are quite difficult but it was still fun. I usually only do these with two players, we only just finished so I’d say take a few friends if you want an easier time!
