The last of the rooms I had to complete at Escape Room Melbourne, Mine Escape was an entertaining (albeit rather easy) experience. A well designed room from puzzle flow to set design, a common theme among the ERM rooms. The puzzles were well made and felt well crafted to the theme which is always a bonus. I think my only con is we didn't feel too challenged by anything, a difficult tightrope to walk when designing a room but 30 minutes in a 70 minute room doesn't feel like enough content. Obviously the venue has a range of difficulty levels across their rooms so if you want something more challenging probably check out Kellar's or Fractured. A great room for beginners, maybe a bit too straightforward for a more experienced team.

This room was fine, old school lock and key room, with some different props to solve puzzles we haven’t seen before. Set design was okay, definitely utilised a lot of do not touch signs and is beginning to look and feel very dated. An easy room that would be good for beginners, solid 5/10.

Another really fun room from ERM! Definitely on the easier side with less puzzles than Fractured and Kellar's but still had a great flow with each solve being engaging and unique. Probably doesn't earn its 70 minute time frame but it did include a couple tricky puzzles that took some time to flesh out. Having now played all of the ERM rooms at both venues, I would happily recommend any of their experiences as they're all consistently of a high quality, I only wish they would make more!

The game itself played ok, but it was fairly short. It felt like a decent game from about 5 years ago. Playing with two it was $65 a head and I’d have to say it played like a standard $40 per head game. We got out in almost half the time. A down tick was for the game masters, we got there 15 minutes early which is pretty standard but the game master didn’t actually get there until 1 or 2 minutes before the start time and we were straight in. Felt a little rushed and unprofessional. I’d consider coming again as the game flowed well. But the cost is probably the main factor that would prevent me from returning.

Gameplay itself was fairly good albeit a bit short and easy.

Props and design were reasonable. Maybe a 5-6/10

Late and mediocre with enthusiasm. A great enthusiastic game master can really make a game.

This escape room would have been good 5 years ago, now lock and key, code escape rooms are outdated. Good props but too many “don’t touch” signs everywhere, took away from the fun and fidelity. GM didn’t seem very enthusiastic and we felt rushed in and rushed out. Room was too easy for a 70 minute room, the two of us got out in 40 minutes.

Enjoyed this room, can't go wrong with Escape Room Melbourne. Some challenging puzzles with building tension. Enjoyed the last part but felt it went quite quickly at the end.

A good solid room with some dated puzzles but also really nice theme and set design. Props here are really nice and there is a lot of nice classic puzzles to solve. Since it is so many, but quite easy, the flow and satisfaction is quite nice and rewarding. Ending very abrupt tho
