It’s 1985 and on the fairgrounds of the Perplexity Bros. Circus and Carnival, you can hear the sounds of demolition trucks nearby. A year ago, the carnival opened but soon became riddled with accidents, disappearances, and deaths. The crowds stopped coming and the carnival workers all vanished, leaving behind only the shell of an abandoned carnival. You and your team of journalistic investigators must find out what happened, before the demolition crews begin erasing away all evidence of why the cheers and laughter turned into cries and screams.

Really enjoyed this room, it was just quite charming. Atmosphere, props and puzzles were really thematic. Some cool props. I’d just recommend if you have experienced players to go with a smaller group of people, our group of 6 flew through it and left us wanting more (in a good way!).

First time at Perplexity! The booking system wasn’t working so they were nice enough to call me to confirm that my deposit went through. The room itself wasn’t bad; despite it being rated as super difficult, it wasn’t overly hard at all, and my team of four and I got out at a comfortable time and with no hints (we were very close to being the record!). There was enough for us all to do, and the decor was decent. I don’t necessarily think four players was mandatory, especially if more than one person in the group was more experienced. It also makes sense why people rated this room as “not scary;” there were creepy/spooky elements, but nothing made us blatantly scream. This room is also 60 minutes even though it was originally advertised as a 75 minute room.

There wasn’t too much of a story per se. There were elements of a story, but I didn’t necessarily think it was necessary to get through the room.

Good solid room! Some unique puzzles and are very on theme. The room makes a good use of the space they have available, and definitely feels like you are at an abandoned circus! Has some spooky elements which add to the immersion!
Staff at Perplexity are incredible!
