40 escape rooms
I have been slowly getting my escape room partner/cousin to do more scary escape rooms, and this is the first one that I would say was bona fide terrifying for both of us. And I adored it! Despite it being easy, the atmosphere made it hard because it was dark and scary, so our focus was depleted by our fight or flight activations. The immersion was next level, I thoroughly felt like I was in danger the entire time (complimentarily, in the literal sense of being at this location, I felt very safe). And if I was you, and without any spoilers, I WOULD be the one to lay down.
Gameplay
It wasn't bad by any means. But...this had some of the easiest puzzles of any escape room I have done. HOWEVER, all were made more difficult by the darkness of the room and terror in my heart.
Atmosphere
I have done horror escape rooms in the past, including some with live actors, but this one felt different. It was menacing, cold, dark, and eerie. I was shaking in my boots for sure. Down to the floors and up to the ceilings, the set was very thought through. There were some corny props at one point, but I can forgive them since the atmosphere was killer.
Customer service
The GM was so kind and a great conversationalist. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating (we impromptu-ly ran straight to another one of their rooms after completing this one and they were so quick to set it up for us) and made sure we had the most immersive experience possible. People passionate about escape rooms will always be some of the best people.

Nothing blew my mind. Like I said, the puzzles were easy and there's very little to do to make a slasher-gonna-getchu theme novel.
Story
Well...you're trapped in a killer's house and he's gonna getchu. I wouldn't say the room was memorable for the story.

The usual number and directional locks and magnetic doors opening. Nothing crazy. This felt like the most classic escale toom you could do, like an early prototype, just terrifying.

Power and sense of security in numbers! Granted I only did this with my cousin who was two feet from the door at any given time. So if you have people with you who are scaredy cats, best to bring more for the moral support.

But no live actors! It was all atmospheric. And not as gory as expected. Just know it's dark, the soundscape is minimal and haunting, there's only maybe two/three-ish jumpscares and only one when you aren't reallyyy expecting it.

I would have cried had I done this at 13, but I know there are brave pre-teens out there. PG-13 is how I think the MPAA would rate it.

It felt like the slasher-man was always just out of sight. Just in the next room. Just around the corner. Just under the bed. But alas he never was.
