A power surge has rolled through Area 1's Research Facility, putting us into lockdown. To make matters worse, our lead researcher, Dr. Verdant, has vanished. What we need is group of expendable contractors to come in and sort out our mess. Area 1 takes no responsibility for any extra-dimensional disturbances that may occur.

Wonderful experience that starts from the second you step onto the property. A few tricky bits but generally straight forward and a great atmospheric experience.

Amazing escape room. Probably best I have done..only thing was we couldn't locate one of the keys...and the GM said he may of forgot to hide it there..nevertheless we still managed to finish. I think?

Great story, fun experience. Puzzles were pretty simple and straightforward, I took some friends who weren’t as puzzle-y and they had a hoot. Good fun, but a bit easy. 7/10. We completed the “bonus puzzle” at the end which was actually a good challenge.

Loved it! Super immersive experience right from rocking up to the venue. Puzzles were clever and stressful at the right moments. Storytelling was well done, and had me intrigued the whole time. Highly recommend.

Easily one of the best rooms around. The live acting was great, very very immersive, i didn't want it to end. Damian the owner even added in surprises for my friends birthday which was such a nice touch and a testament to Damian's commitment to the experience.

The Portal is great with a very cool set. Immersive experience starts from the moment you arrive at the venue until the end! Puzzles are logical and flows well with some high-tech elements. Some unique story elements which speaks to the creativity of the room! Our GMs add a lot to the immersiveness of the experience! It is only unique to Area 1!

Immersive from the get go. Due to the location being an old paint factory as well as the employees dedication to character the overall experience was enhanced. Having a worker come out a retrieve you set a positive impression from the get go. The introduction was given in a unique way that helped to engage while also retaining information and staying in universe. In terms of the room, the atmosphere of the room was amplified by the sound effects and lighting. The puzzles were unique and interesting and required many different manners of thinking and acting out motions. Overall an amazing space and an amazing business.

The experience was fantastic from start to finish! The set and prop design were top-notch, with a lot of creative, unique puzzles and an atmosphere that kept us fully immersed. We really appreciated the staff's dedication; they were “on” from the moment we stepped into the car park and stayed in character all the way until we left, which added so much to the experience.
The gameplay was straightforward but kept us engaged with a mix of interesting and varied puzzles that allowed everyone to contribute and stay immersed.
The atmosphere was incredible; the design, props, and every detail worked together to make it feel like we were truly part of another world.
The staff were excellent! Their passion was clear, and they were clearly dedicated to their roles. Their energy and commitment to the theme made a huge difference in our enjoyment.
