Cannibals In The Catacombs

I enjoyed this room. Part of that may be because it was my first more intense horror room, because my more experienced teammates said that it wasn’t that scary and that they enjoyed it less. You can buy “teddy bear insurance” for an extra 10 bucks if you don’t want to get shocked. My teammates who chose to get shocked (with a taser) said that they barely felt anything. I think a lot of the scare factor of this game is the build up of what you’re told may happen to you before the game. In all honesty, it’s not too bad. There were a few unique puzzles I really enjoyed. The scare actor played his part well and I personally thought did a good job making the experience more intense. Part of the set is a little out of place (there’s grass in the catacombs?). The room was also smaller than I anticipated.

10/10! My brother and I have done quite a few escape rooms so we have pretty high expectations at this point and this blew all of our expectations out of the water! Heed all of the warnings in the waiver, we thought surely it won’t be THAT scary but it was! They recommend teams of 3 or more and we were only the second team of 2 to have done it. We were busting our butts busy the whole time but still made it out with a couple mins to spare. Perfect game play. Amazing live actors. Game master was very fun. 10/10 recommend but only if you like to be scared!

This game was unlike any other room we’ve done before. We had a great time and have enjoyed laughing about our trigger happy cannibal. I enjoyed that despite the many MANY safety warnings and waivers that the room still held some secret surprises. On that note, don’t let the warnings scare you away too much. I personally think that if you can handle jump scares, this room wouldn’t be too traumatizing. Obviously, don’t bring children, there are adult themes and you do get electrically shocked. The theme was original and we enjoyed that there was a live actor element. We also found many puzzles to be satisfying solves. They had recently renovated one of the puzzles for clarity, and we played through it smoothly. We were the FIRST group of two players to attempt this room and while there was a lot to do, it wasn’t overwhelming. We needed one hint, but it was a palm to the face moment, so I feel like it’s absolutely doable with two. Especially considering we were out with 10 minutes to spare. Joe, the owner and creator, was very friendly and willing to give recommendations. We had a great time chatting with him following the room. In terms of constructive criticism, I do feel as if the story, with as much potential as it had, would’ve only added to the room if it played a stronger role in the puzzles. I had nearly forgotten about Arthur by the time we got to the end of the room. The ending also felt a bit anticlimactic, but we understand how hard it is to figure out how to end a room. I Would love a plot twist right at the end! Would definitely recommend this room to others!

Really fun room and experience! Our game master Joe was incredibly friendly and a great host. The room flowed well and had some good jump scares in it with some cool layered puzzles.

I never leave reviews but this was an incredible experience. 10000/10 would recommend, can’t wait to come back and do the rest of the rooms here!

We had a fun time. I had two players with me who have never done escape rooms before so this was a great introduction. The puzzles were challenging and made us work together which I loved.

The puzzles are very imaginative, challenging and unique! Not your average combo locks. The atmosphere is very immersive and well done!! The actor was creepy and added nicely to the overall vibe.

Great game and GM. Very unique experience. Not for the faint of heart.

This was hands down the most unique and intense escape room I have ever done. The suspense alone was thrilling and adding the puzzle solving and cast interaction made it terrifying and stressful in the best way. Definitely perfect for anyone looking for a bit of an adrenaline rush. I was a bit worried there would be too many jump scares that the escape room part would be overshadowed, but this wasn’t the case at all. I had such a fun time and we all couldn’t stop talking about it!!

Cannibals in the Catacombs is by far the best escape room experience I’ve ever had. It lives up to all of the hype. Our game master Madison did an incredible job and helped make the experience super immersive and intense. Prototype is the best and most professional escape room establishment I’ve ever been to, we’ve come back and done all of their rooms. I would highly recommend Cannibals if you are looking for a great scare, but all of their rooms have been so much fun! Thank you to Joe and the rest of the team for making our experience so amazing!
