The power surge that rocked Area 1 must be investigated. We need willing and expendable contractors to go into the dangerous reactor facility and wrestle control back from a disgruntled employee who has taken everything offline.

We played Nuclear Enrichment and I have to say out of doing over 50 escape rooms this one is in my top 3 of all time. Some background, I became an electronics engineer in 1990 so this escape room had massive nostalgia properties to it. Old tech, oscilloscopes, TV tubes and gadgetry. Set in an old industrial building I felt like I was really back in time in a real tech facility. You can’t get this real to life experience from a depressed up escape room. From the moment we arrived and walked through the main doors we felt like the experience began. That’s all before we entered the escape experience. Once inside it only got better with actual old tech being used throughout the experience. By far the most real I’ve ever experienced. Awesome concept and great work by the builders of this one.

We jumped into Nuclear Enrichment immediately after The Portal! Though they share some similar vibes and equally impressive aesthetics, the two games are very different. I would say The Portal was more story-driven, while Nuclear Enrichment featured more puzzles and required a more traditional puzzle-solving mentality. Both are super immersive and fun, and I would recommend doing both to get the best of both worlds.

The Nuclear Enrichment room at Project Immersive is a high-tech and “immersive” room, blending story telling and cool tech puzzles. The standout of the room is the stunning tech moments, dazzling displays of light and cinematic moments. This room is definitely one of my favourites in Brisbane.

A very simple and straight forward room with clues that all make sense. The atmosphere is the selling point here as well as the host. Enjoyed the entire experience!

Gameplay

Nice flow and storyline. Super simple to follow.

Atmosphere

Atmosphere was the best part! The factory it is set in helps with the vibe from the very start.

Customer service

Same host as last time and just as awesome. In character the whole time and gets you psyched for the game.

Immersive and atmospheric with strong acting from the GM to get all the players involved. Fun for a group. I did miss feeling challenged by puzzles. Most of the tasks simply involved following visual or auditory instructions. If you love an action packed, interactive room, this is for you. If you are looking for a bit more of a cerebral challenge, I would recommend Project Immersive’s other room (The Portal).

Easily the best room in Brisbane. Highly recommend. Damian the owner even added in surprises for my friend's birthday which was so beautifully done.

Damian the the team over at Project Immersive have put together one of the most immersive escape games I’ve ever played. From the moment you begin, the the moment it ends - you are drawn into the world of Area 1. The game itself is engaging, well designed and strikes a good level of difficultly. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a top tier escape room in Brisbane!! :))

Immersive experience starts from the moment you arrive at the venue until the end! Puzzles are logical and flows well with some high-tech elements which is very cool. Some unique story elements which speaks to the creativity of the room! Our GMs add a lot to the immersiveness of the experience!

Really excellent room, super immersive in terms of atmosphere. The Paint Factory really sells the experience, the staff put on a great performance, and the room itself is full of interesting and tactile puzzles. It all feels very unique, very little in the way of typical combination locks and keys. You'll find yourself wondering how it's done. A little on the easy side with generous hints, but still amazing. Make sure to come with a good joke or pun prepared!

Gameplay

Extremely novel puzzles and mechanics.

Atmosphere

Can't be beat on atmosphere, literally run out of a disused paint factory, nails the industrial lab vibes. Props and set design are top notch.

Customer service

Staff really put on a performance from the moment you approach the entrance and create a story for you to engage in.

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

Super unique location, set design and mechanics.

Story

Actors really draw you into a story, very engaging.

Difficulty

Game tech

High tech

Very interesting tech, but you engage with it in a mechanical way.

Ideal number of players

3

Played just fine with 2, but more room for 3 or 4.

Scary

Not scary

Lighting is quite low and the location is a bit spooky, but the acting and story is too light hearted to be scary.

Minimum age

12

Was anything broken?

No

Live actors

No

Sort of, room introduction has live actors, and the very end has some mild interaction.

Physically active

Not at all

Nothing strenuous, just some mild footwork. Entry requires going up staircase though.

Accessibility

The room has quite low light throughout, though you can find a basic flashlight. At least one puzzle relies on colours.

Easy to find location

Yes

Slightly non-standard entry, but staff will greet you near carpark/entry.

Parking

Easy

Small carpark available near entry, Google Maps takes you to it.
