House of Darkness

We were a minute too long. The whole complete darkness thing was an interesting change, but it definitely slowed us down.

This room was very fun! As it says in the description, most of the room is in complete darkness, which is a very fun (and different) aspect to the challenge.

Great room! Face your fears of the darkness and solve this room with your other senses. We played with a group of four and that seemed like an ideal number. This room could get chaotic with more than four or five people. Our game master, Andrew, was enthusiastic and helpful. This room will be retiring soon, so be sure to book it before it's gone!!

Very fun room. Super challenging and requires good teamwork. Also, a lot of crawling around and it was hot in one area where we needed to solve a puzzle. Bigger bodies might have a harder time, BUT it's really fun. If you aren't scared of the dark lol

This was a very nice experience. The darkness definitely plays a huge part on the immersion of the experience

The majority of this room is in complete darkness, which isn't something you see too often and lends itself to some cool puzzles. The addition of "extra credit" puzzles was strange to us; we wish every puzzle had been required to exit, because otherwise the experience feels like it could be rather short. I'd recommend completing everything the room has to offer before leaving - though it isn't 100% clear in the moment exactly what puzzles are needed to escape. Overall a solid experience. Will definitely be back in the future to check out their other rooms!

Not great for anyone who is afraid of the dark. You will be in complete darkness. It is scary because one of your senses is deprived. We completed this with 4 people. We had a scaredy cat, 1 who tries to brave, and 2 very brave souls. Without those 2, we may have not escaped. We were given a sneak peek of what it looks like in the light and it's amazing on how much they can do with very little.

I LOVE Hour to Midnight, and this is my crew's favorite room there. You think you are ready for the darkness, or that you'll adjust to it, but you never do. And that is absolutely amazing. The intro to the game is great, but the transition to pitch-dark is breathtaking. You lose all sense of size and location. It makes for the most unique and team-building experience I've had in any rooms I've done. Obviously the puzzles are going to be more physical than mental here, but they are perfect. My team had waited for so long to do this room (doing other rooms to prepare for this), and it still exceeded all our expectations.
