Set in 1935 Chicago, a beloved philanthropist has been murdered, and his widow has hired the city’s leading Private Eye, Ed Miller, to find out who did it. As Miller got close to solving the case, the local crime syndicate headed to his office to “persuade” the detective to engage in less murder solving, mostly by way of “not bein’ alive as much as he usually is.” Ed was able to lure the henchmen from his office, giving you and your fellow gumshoes an hour to find all the evidence he had collected, and solve the Vandergrift murder. You’ll have to work fast if you’d like to escape without facing the business end of a Tommy gun.

We love places where the staff are in character for the game. The lobby is inviting, the staff and owner are friendly, and the game was a lot of fun. We enjoyed this place overall more than the “award winning” place in Anchorage. If you’re staying downtown, do yourself a favor and skip the public rooms that are downtown and take an Uber to ESCAPE! Alaska.

This was by far my husband and I favorite escape room so far! Lots of the puzzles were unique and something we've never experienced before. Finished in 49 minutes with just 2 people.

Had fun, but we didn’t escape. Make sure to work as a team. The room was very cool and there are lots of fun surprises in how it is constructed. Theatrical quality and attention to detail was great. The staffer we worked with was nice enough but he could have been more engaging. It kinda threw us off at first.

It’s great, but harder than most - there’s one clue they should revise imo - but overall super fun

Overall this was a very creative and well done room. It was a lot of fun, and there were puzzles and effects I’ve never seen before. Great Story, atmosphere, props, and staff. One of my favorite rooms!! 🗝️

I LOVED this room! It is one of my all time favorites. The immersion especially was top notch, and the plot, pacing, and puzzles were all so good. I will remember this room for a long time. I didn’t use the hint system but using a 30’s phone - *chef’s kiss*. Even some random playing cards were in black and white. Amazing
