The Haunting of Violet Manor

This room was fun. Some surprises and good theming. Our game master was great. So kind and helpful.

Some of the puzzles could have been designed much better. We figured out the trick but then couldn’t figure out the puzzle because it didn’t work well. We lost at least 15 minutes on puzzles we had already figured out which was not fun. It felt very gimmicky when there were some twists and turns that could have really driven the game without some of the gimmicks

The theme was great with lots of fun surprises, but several aspects were a bit too gimmicky to really function properly. (Don’t get me wrong; I love gimmicks but only when they work). We lost a lot of time redoing things we had already figured out.

One of the best Escape Room places I’ve been to! We did the Haunting of Violet Manor with 2 people. The room was soooo well designed and totally immersive. The tech was impressive and the puzzles were reasonable yet challenging. I can’t recommend this room or location enough!

Updated Review: I’ve played this room twice. I replayed it with friends after 4+ years and while I still had fun, I’ve done better rooms since I’ve played this room. Original Review: This was a very narrative driven escape room. We did it with a group of about 8 people and that was too many people. I personally think 4 people is the perfect amount for escape rooms. Also, whenever you need a clue you have to ring the door bell and the host will come into the room and give you a clue so it takes you out of the game and breaks your immersion.
