The legend of the Dead Man's Hand has always held a mystery. As the story goes, a shootout occurred over a poker hand of all black Aces and eights. But no one knows to this day what that fifth card was gonna be... and that card will make all the difference in just how your game is gonna end up, because his ghost has returned, and he's just 'dying' to see that last hole card! You'll need to bring your best poker face and a sharp shooter's eye to this wild western romp. And bring the kids, partner! This is gonna be a fun one!

Rating: 3/5 A very unique experience, it's fun for me to play something so unusual after 100 rooms. The room itself is very Gen1 with lots of padlocks and no tech, but the Western theming/set was nicely done. It is only a single room, no new areas to explore. What makes this unique is the interaction with the GM/owner, it's clear she loves what she does and has a great sense of humor. The scariness is due to the darkness (lights are off but low powered flashlights are provided) and numerous pranks that they GM will play on the group, it feels kind of like a haunted house. It's done in a playful manner but you will likely get startled. Note that you will also be blindfolded during part of the experience. I'd recommend 2-4 experienced players.

This was really fun! The GM did a great job of immersing us. The welcome video did have some audio issues where it made it difficult to hear, but it didn’t affect the game play. The game was pretty fun with mostly locks and a lot of the puzzles followed the same sequence. We had a group of 5 enthusiasts and escaped with 17 minutes left, but we had a blast! It was a unique experience and I’m excited to head back and try some more of their less scary rooms! My favorite part was getting to play with the nerf gun!

We played with 5 and thought it was perfect! Many of the puzzles were somewhat linear, maybe 2 puzzles can go at a time. It is in one semi-small room, so wouldn’t recommend a large group.

Scary

Spooky

This was one of their mid-level scary rooms. You played pretty much in the dark (with the exception of a small light hung around your neck) and the GM loves to play tricks!

The maps took me to the other side of the mall, but Key Escapes sent us a nice map of where they were located that was easy to locate!

Easy

This is in a mostly-abandoned mall so tons of parking!
