I'm torn on this room. It looked cool and efforts were made, but the GM was not super engaged. She tried, but also seemed bored. The gameplay did not flow well, and some of the tech effects did not work well. The GM was necessary to help us navigate that and to transition spaces as it wasn't clear any other way. So, the play was ok and some parts were fun.
Some parts were good but overall the broken things and lack of cohesion disappointed.
Looked great.

If the systems worked, it would have been better.

For a room that has been around at least 6 years now it is holding up against more current competition in the area. Set design was nice and puzzles were very clean overall in terms of flow. Our group of 5 blew through the room and were told we were second fastest ever, which is quite the feat for a room of this age. Everything worked right and made sense, but there wasn't a clear storyline flow to the puzzles. The actor was kind of pointless in the room, they just watched us go after the initial introduction and said a few transition statements here and there. As a previous reviewer noted, one of the puzzles seemed to be broken by the way the actor described it but I actually think it was never meant to be an included puzzle and was just poorly placed decoration.
Thank you for the wonderful review! We are happy to hear the room is still going strong and are going to improve it even more based on your points mentioned. Hope to lock you up again soon!

We found a the puzzle design to be excellent but the actual execution to be frustrating. A large puzzle in the room was non functional and it was a bummer to not be able to engage with such a large set piece. There was also an actor in the room the entire time which is a positive or negative depending on how you view that.

Great immersion!!! We enjoyed having the live actor! The theme was very well executed! We did it with two and made it out. But it was a hustle!!
Steampunk usual things. But done well!
Hard
Mostly high tech but stayed in theme.

This room was super fun! Our moderator was Mitchell and he was absolutely amazing - having the moderator in the room in character was a really fun experience. The room itself was pretty easy, none of the puzzles were particularly complex but some took more time to figure out than others. It was definitely helpful having 5 people. Could probably be done with one less but not sure Iβd recommend going with more especially if folks are well experienced with escape rooms.

Thank you for the wonderful review and helping other bring the best amount of players based on their experience level! We will pass the high praises along to Mitchel. Hope to lock you up again soon!

Game master was in the room with the players. She did a good job not to interfere with the game and not giving out uninvited clues. Puzzles are on the easier side for experienced players.

I don't love having the actors in the room with us and in this room we had 2. One of them seemed like she was having a bad day and was really grouchy and barking at us. Turns out that is part of the character she was playing. Some of my teammates were getting pretty frustrated by her attitude so even though it was part of the game, that wasn't 100% clear until the end. I also didn't care for the theme. I was there for a birthday party so it wasn't my choice. The run decor or puzzles were good though.

I didnβt love this room but didnβt hate it. The puzzles were mainly satisfying, but it didnβt feel like there was any objective to any of them - it didnβt fit with the story at all. The energy of this room was pretty meh.

Excellent use of actors, good sets, and plenty of puzzling. I think this game could handle a fairly large team of enthusiasts, maybe 6 or 7. Even the βYou loseβ ending was enjoyable.

Extremely creative and tactile puzzles in this room, paired with a bevy of unique props. They definitely built some puzzles that only work in the physical realm. There is quite a bit to do! For 2, we were one puzzle away from winning! If we had been more willing to split up, we likely could have escaped. That said, there were a couple bits of fiddly tech that slowed us down, despite us knowing how to solve the puzzle. I loved the lore in this room, though it felt like it was abandoned as quickly as it was established. Expect to be challenged by puzzles that demand object manipulation, teamwork, abstraction, and making connections. The actor may as well have left the game after the first five minutes. While a nice touch at the start, their presence in the room didnβt add much if anything to the story or experience after the intro.
Incredibly unique props. The entrance to the game was very thematic, too. However, the carpeted floor ruined the illusion a little. This room could have been an A with atmosphere, but the carpet and some less inventive/interactive puzzles drop it down to a B or B-.

Other reviews tout how instrumental the actor/GM is to the experience. However, aside from the first 5-10 mins of the game, the actor barely interacted with us. This could have been a hugely amazing room with some extra world-building and consistent actor interaction.
