Nevermore

Nice small escape room. Was this the budget of a grand escape room? No. Was it a good experience? Yes. The staff was very nice and welcoming. The room was fairly easy. While there wasn't a "flow" from one puzzle to the next, the puzzles were simple to figure out with some needing more brain power. The puzzles were well thought out and followed the theme of the room. There were some unique style puzzles which made the room more fun I also love a room that embraces the area in which it resides and nothing screams Baltimore area more than Poe!

The vibes were good, I felt very welcome and invited. But the game master didn’t start the timer after leaving the room until we asked if we should be starting or if there was a video/voiceover intro. It didn’t really flow, I felt like I was left guessing a lot and the props felt like they were on the verge of crumbling in my hand. I can see the effort put into the room but it felt a bit low budget to me. I get as if a friend was throwing an escape room themed birthday party. Outside of the escape room itself the facility also felt very cramped with stuff adding to the basement vibes.
