The Witching Hour

Loved this room! It is challenging! Low tech, excellent theming, tons of puzzles. Alex our GM role-played as our assistant and was excellent at it. Clues come in the form of the GM entering the room in character. She was very quick to assist and knew exactly what we missed. We had 8 players, all seasoned ages 13-69. Much of the room is non-linear, giving everyone something to work on. We solved it with 14 seconds left!

Pros: Spooky theme with a lot of puzzles that will take up the whole 60 mins. The puzzles were creative and fun. Cons: 4% escape rate probably because it’s too much for the time. This could easily be a 75-90 min room. Also there is zero tech. There was at least 15 - 20 locks.

HEAVY puzzle lock room, bring friends. We are enthusiasts and were on the right track through the room. It makes sense there is just way to much to do for 2 people.

Six people is ideal. Everyone will be working on something. I loved this room though. Very challenging and rewarding.

We really enjoyed the puzzles in this room but even with 75 minutes we weren’t able to escape. My boyfriend and I have done 30+ rooms and struggled finding enough time work through all of them. We enjoyed the rooms and the props/decorations. Only suggestion would be to turn off the timer when using a hint because it took a while for the girl to come into the room and figure out what hint/clue she wanted to give us.

I love a good challenge, but this wasn’t my favorite. I played with a group of very smart and experienced individuals, and we managed to escape, but with only a few minutes left. I know that part of the challenge is the complete darkness, but it was more of an annoyance. No one wants to play an escape room with one hand (because the other is always holding a damn candle). Nevertheless, the logic puzzles were cool. They definitely fit the theme. I’d say it’s worth a play if you’ve got a good group. It’s the type of escape room that’s good to have on your list as one you’ve tackled, but it’s not necessarily the most fun while playing.
