Au Pays des Merveilles [In Wonderland]

This room truly embraced the whimsy of Alice in Wonderland in a way that allowed us to really become part of it rather than simply witnessing it. We had so much fun! I highly recommend to anyone who appreciates this theme and embraces a little crazy. It's absolutely in my top games.

Of the three games I played at A Double Tour (Go to Yabe, Secret of the Dunes, and In Wonderland), In Wonderland was my favorite. Each space felt appropriately Wonderland-y in different ways. I think A Double Tour's strength is their setbuilding, and In Wonderland is no exception. The game toys with perspective in a way that seems obvious for the setting, yet isn't actually common among other Alice-themed games I've played. Unfortunately, like their other games, maintenance is a bit lacking; there's signs of wear on a number of surfaces. The last part of the game is fun to move around in, and I think is a pretty good take on the weirdness and disorientation that might happen in Wonderland. However, if there was ever a fire, the same aspects that make it enjoyable could also be a safety hazard. Hopefully their fire suppression systems are well maintained.

This was unbelievably fun. It was such a cool layout but so hard for only two people. The gamemaster was absolutely fantastic. We didn’t make it out, but highly recommend.

Definitely max of four people! Lots of physical effort which was fun.

So much fun! ♥️⏱️🃏 It’s not often an escape room company can take on the Alice In Wonderland theme and do it justice, but Double Tour manages exactly that- and impressively so! If you love beautiful and unique sets you won’t want to miss this one (although, I’ve honestly been impressed by all the DT rooms I’ve done so far!) GM was fantastic. I’d say this is a solid 4 person room even for enthusiasts. One of the rooms is so extensive I’d be doubtful less than three people could finish it. However, my friend and I had a blast even without escaping. Really appreciate the artistry and love put into this room and would definitely re-visit in the future just to complete it. (mild comic spoilers)

Je crois que notre expérience aurait été meilleure avec une GM plus attentive. Nous étions deux pour faire le jeu. Nous savions que nous risquions d’en arracher alors on a demandé à la personne qui nous à accueilli que notre souhait était de le compléter. Il nous a dit que ce sera pris en considération et que ca devrait bien se passer. Ça avançait quand même bien, jusqu’au moment où j’ai demandé de l’aide et que personne ne m’a répondu. Pas de son, pas d’image. Très décevant! 2eme fois chez « À Double Tour » et rien ne me donne envie d’y retourner à cause du manque d’attention des GM en général. Sinon le jeu en soi était ok. Un petit groupe est plutôt recommandé vu l’espace restreint de certaines salles.
