Quebec of yesteryear, a very, very long time ago Do you know what happens between life and death? Apparently there would be a pact with the YÂBE: "Just sign that contract, take a little walk through my memories and find the exit..." If you prove that you're more faster than him, he brings you back to life. Otherwise, it's straight to hell. It's a chance to take… One thing is sure, you will have your trip by entering the tales and legends of Quebec. Astheure, tie your hats, it's going to go there!

I wanted to like this game - as a tourist, local mythology/history is always interesting. Unfortunately, Go to Yabe not only failed to deliver on this promise, it's also one of the most broken games I've played. Neither the game nor the GM explained how the settings of the sub-rooms was relevant to either the story or the local area - some narration would go a long way. The most I think you can say is that it's folklore-inspired, but don't expect to learn anything. A number of things were broken about the game. A maglock in the first room hadn't latched closed properly, leading to some confusion over whether we were supposed to have access to the contents yet (we were not). A ceiling blacklight stopped working; fortunately, the GM was prepared with a small portable replacement. A prop didn't trigger and the GM wasn't paying attention (or didn't have a good visual), leading to wasted time where we weren't sure if we were doing the right thing. It also wasn't clear what was happened when we finally did trigger it. Later in the game, one input method stubbornly refused to work despite us doing the right thing and checking with the GM - it turned out we were doing it at the wrong speed, but there was no feedback we were doing anything wrong. And the final interaction mistriggered early, leading the GM to think we had finished far earlier than we did (which also suggests they were not tracking our progress well, since they should have seen that we had done very little in that area). It's not all bad - the set is more detailed than one might expect given all the other issues. The GM was a good sport, energetically getting into character before the game started. It feels like the game could be much stronger with some minor overhauling.

There's some street parking (metered), though we ended up paying for a nearby parking garage.

Ma salle préférée à double tour! Le concept est incroyable avec les comptes et légendes d'ici. Les décors sont magnifiques!

🎩🪵⚜️ One of my favourite rooms ever! Two hearts if I could! My friend and I arrived late at night for a different room but the GM recommended this one since it was available. I’m so glad he did because this was possibly my favourite escape room experience to date. Double tour really excels at setting the vibe and crafting an immersive experience, and this one was no different. Without spoiling anything, the set was nothing what I expected based off the synopsis. Story isn’t usually too important to me but this one made me appreciate how a good one elevates the experience. Both a great flow and variety of puzzles. We got stuck on a few but the GMs are great with jumping in or helping just enough that you’re still able to figure it out on your own. Always cracked me up when I’d call in for a hint saying, “I don’t know (what to do!) and they’d reply (in their character), “Oh, me too!” 🤣 Not scary, if that’s something that concerns you- just a fun, spoooky atmosphere. There’s a good amount to do so I probably wouldn’t rec with just two people unless you’re a bit experienced. Our GM David was very nice and gave me and my friend about 5 extra mins so we could escape! If I could make one improvement- there is a puzzle on a piece of paper that’s a bit worn so I had trouble making out some words. Not unsolvable but did make it a little more difficult. Attempted to read the french side but public school failed me so had to call in a hint, lol. Would probably replace that paper! Overall, really beautifully done. I was only in Quebec City a few days but visiting Double Tour was one of the highlights of my trip. You couldn’t ask for better GMs/customer service and all three rooms we did were so much fun with amazing sets. Will absolutely be back to finish the rest of the rooms. Merci beaucoup, DT!

Close quarters, but soooo many puzzles to solve. Difficult for just 2 people to get through. We loved the lore and the evolution of the theme from one environment to the next. Some pieces of gameplay could use a fresh coat of paint (symbols look similar after all the uses in play through the years)… so in dark spaces it was hard to tell the difference in some of the elements (we have old eyes, too).
