Old Haunt

This was a very frustrating room. There were many puzzles to solve all at once & some didn’t have clues resulting in solutions relying on luck more than brains/skill. The AI was annoying - giving answers to puzzles we had already solved and/or providing clues without clarity as to which task the clue was for. There was a lot of reliance on audio but the voice was often muffled, so it wasn’t easy to decipher what was said. We experienced a lock not opening, even with the correct combination & another puzzle not unlocking even though the answer input was correct. There was just too much nonsense happening in this room for my liking and not enough opportunity to use my brain.

Overall, this experience provided some unique twists that aren't common in other rooms, but the overall flow of puzzles and difficulty left much to be desired. The designated areas themselves contain an assortment of information and it can be a guess sometimes as to what the actual solutions are or where the clues lead to. After a set period of time, the puzzles push you forwards for the story or outright give you the answers to move on, which can be confusing whether this is an intended clue-giving method or a mechanism to progress the story. This room is on the easier side if you are familiar with uncommon gimmicks being present, but not a terrible experience overall. Would say this room is average at best!

This was one of the more disappointing escape room experiences. Theming of the room was good and there were some fun puzzles however there was too much going on and the 'AI' technology of the room pushed us along so much so that at times we didn't have to do anything to receive combinations. I enjoyed the tech and theming but the overall experience including the fact that the rooms are right off a noisy reception left the group feeling a little disappointed.
