Ms. Turner had been a great librarian for many years, although many would say she was very particular. She liked the library organized, clean, and quiet. Some also said it was a little quirky how books, games, riddles, and puzzles of every kind seemed to be the little old lady’s best friends. She disliked new technology, but above all, she hated cell phones. She hated people talking on them in her quiet library and using them to look up info that could be found in a book. As she grew older, she became more and more eccentric. She hired someone to stop people from using their phones in the library. They installed a cell phone jammer, the one piece of new technology that she decided she did like. The library declined in popularity. The board of trustees decided the library no longer justified the cost of upkeep and a librarian's salary. The library was closed, and Ms. Turner was forced into retirement. Upon being let go from the library, Ms. Turner blamed young people, cell phones, and all that new technology for her forced retirement. Then it came to her that the joke would be on them. She would play one more trick on those she blamed for shutting down her beloved library, assuming they would not be able to outsmart her without their precious cell phones. She asked your group to help pack up her personal belongings from her office. As you entered the library, you didn’t notice the door lock behind you. Now you are trapped in Ms. Turner's game, with only the old librarian knowing where you are. You will find no wi-fi here, and the cell phone jammer appears to still be working. You have only the clues and puzzles Ms. Turner's has left, giving you one chance to prove you love puzzles too. You have 60 minutes to find Ms. Turner’s master code and get out before the library locks down for good, and you become a permanent addition to the archives.

66 escape rooms

A cute traditional room in an interesting location! The room was not too heavily themed but really interesting with some good puzzles. We did it with just the 2 of us and got right down to the wire. Flowed really well!

234 escape rooms

Rating 3/5: I enjoyed it, it's a traditional room with solid puzzles and good flow. I liked that the puzzles fit the library theme. The set was not high budget but it's good for a small town room, it felt like an actual school library with more than 1 room and real props/furniture/books, so there's some nostalgia for adults. The puzzles were mostly padlock based, but they did still have some tech in the room. There were also a couple things that I've yet to see before in an escape room even after doing 100+ rooms. The GM/owner was super friendly and helpful. I think the difficulty was medium, playable with 2 experienced enthusiasts but beginners would want more. We played Librarian's Revenge and Archibald's back to back. I would recommend Librarians if you want more immersion and a more traditional experience. Archibald is a more unique and interesting concept.
