Great theme and very cool puzzle mechanics. There is one point where I feel you slightly needed outside information which I don’t think should be a thing for any escape room, but it also couldn’t been solved by process of elimination in a way so it’s not the worst. I’ll keep it vague as to not spoil of course. Very cool set with good mechanics! Just some props need a little love so that puzzles don’t take way too long bc of it. Highly recommend and wish we got to do 2! will be coming back.

Story

Interesting plot, great elements of the cemetery in the area. Interesting use of set for puzzles.

I think it’s medium to hard in the middle somewhere.

We had 2 and i think 1 more person would’ve been perfect but it’s def doable for 2. I think 1 even if you’ve gone to escape rooms before and can go fast and know what to look for. It’s more of a smaller space so i wouldn’t want more than 4.

Was anything broken?

Yes

Unfortunately there is a technical item you need to use for most of the game and it didn’t work in 2 of its locations it’s supposed to which stunted a lot of time for us. One ended up not working at all and we had to get it from our game master. Also the first puzzles props are so beaten down from being used and abused that it made it physically difficult in our opinion to be able to utilize it and basically took 15 min from our game.

Accessibility

I don’t think a wheelchair would wanna come in here. just cutting corners would be hard and you’d have know where to put your chair. Also nowhere to sit so if you need that then ask for a chair for sure :)

There were some fun elements in this room and the theming was excellent. One use of tech was interesting, but ended up being extremely tedious which detracted from my experience. Overall, a relatively fun room.

Thematically a nice touch for New Orleans, but a little tired escape room at this point. The new location opens in September and I hope they update a couple things: better soundproofing (we could hear the other room easily), maybe a little larger rooms would help the theme sit well, and an update on a lock puzzle or two as it is a little dated by being mildly lock heavy. But really, it was fun, glad we did it, and a nice little reveal or two. Great time.

This room was great, a really immersive simulation of St. Louis Cemetery #1. The walls and gates had great patina and the multiple rooms all felt convincing and real. Great economy of space, as well. There’s a missed opportunity to add some atmospheric sounds to the experience, as the room felt too quiet and sonically dull. In spite of the ancient feel, we used some pretty cool modern tech to complete a large-format puzzle. It was a cool implementation of technology, even if the puzzle itself ended up turning into a laborious task of translation. Finally, there was a debate within our group regarding whether or not outside knowledge is required to complete the room. I’ll just settle it once and for all and say: You need to be familiar with ONE very famous actor who has a soft spot for New Orleans!

Rating: 4/5 - Great theming with satisfying puzzles and tech Here's why I loved it: ➕Set looked great and the vibe felt just right for a cemetery, love that it was decorated floor to ceiling. ➕Multiple rooms to explore ➕Very tech heavy with a few padlocks mixed in, the tech was seamlessly integrated ➕One cool use of tech I've yet to see even after 200 rooms. ➕Some cool reveals ➕Love that the theme is appropriate to the area ➕Puzzles were enjoyable with some decent variety, many tactile interactions, room flowed well ➕Satisfying ending ➕GM was friendly As a team of 4 enthusiasts, we crushed it with over 20 min left and 0 hints. I'd recommend 2-3 players. I preferred this room over Bayou since I like the more immersive set and additional tech.

Between a like and a love for me, but closer to a love. I know this is a separate location from their Metairie company, but comparing this to game museum which was my 2nd favorite game from this company, I’d say this one is better. I loved the set design, and the puzzles just clicked. There was one puzzle that was pretty questionable about whether or not you need outside knowledge to complete it. I personally feel like you do, but I suppose it’s not some convoluted thing. Players that are aged in their teens or less may have difficulty with it though.

This ER was walking distance from our hotel, so we decided to give it a try. It was a little small and the puzzles were okay. It wasn't among our favorites but we were glad we tried it. We did another room at this location after going out for dinner. One of the puzzles was simply a reference to a movie star's tomb in New Orleans, others were a little more difficult but doable.

We have genuinely liked Clue Carre over the years. The biggest tip we can give is that you should wait until they open their new location if possible. Things have gotten a bit shabby and when we found out they were moving we understood why they weren’t fixing them. There is solid puzzle design in all of their rooms. This one isn’t our favorites but you have to love the voodoo theme. In the overall intro video they say that codes and keys won’t be used again in their rooms. This room is an exception. Escape Couple rating: 3 🗝️: Standard escape room 👍 (we use a 1-6🗝️ rating scale) 1-2 🗝️: Don’t waste your money 👎 3 🗝️: Standard escape room 👍 4 🗝️: Better than average room 👍 5 🗝️: Excellent room with wow factors ❤️ 6 🗝️: Best of the best ❤️

Good solid room, my party of 2 was able to complete it pretty fast (28 mins) and without any hints. Good for those just getting into escape rooms but maybe stay away from this one if you are looking for a challenge.
