Titanic

Titanic was a fun Gen 1 type of room. The set was ok with several different Titanic themed older type of props which showed a good effort, but nothing spectacular. There were multiple rooms to explore and all of them were quite spacious. The rooms were clean, yet gave the old time early 1900’s vibe. Not much tech and a good amount of locks, but puzzles were fun and fairly straightforward. Flow of the game was pretty good as there was some signage for the first sequence of puzzles and then once you completed a puzzle, there was typically a telegram you received which led you towards the next objective. A morse code puzzle was fun to do and then the finale sequence showed older tech, but was neat and created some excitement. Customer Service at Mastermind (former Odyssey location) was excellent. Everyone we were in contact with was friendly and our GM (Kyle) was extremely enthusiastic and attentive to how we were progressing in the room. He proactively gave us some nudges along the way when we were doubting ourselves or just had a digit wrong in a code due to the puzzle being slightly broken/old. Kyle was fantastic and kept us moving forward with great enthusiasm. Kyle was genuinely excited for us when we escaped and even joked around with us afterwards about a few moments our team had. Titanic was our 1st game at the new Mastermind owned location (which was previously Odyssey). Overall, pleasantly surprised with how good the customer service was and how much fun we had. We will be going back to do more.

We generally find Mastermind’s puzzles thematic, fun, and fair. This room was one of my mom’s recent favorites, despite some broken tech. Not super hard.

The set pieces were interesting and fabulous, and felt true to the time period. I was worried it would feel tragic and/or involve remembering or vicariously living a lot of the trauma, but thankfully it did not. It was difficult because at times things didn't flow too well, or we would have certain pieces but not need them until much later and wouldn't know what to do with them. There were several unique and creative puzzles I enjoyed.

Higher focus on the puzzles than the theming, which is never go to or bad. The puzzles themselves were decent though a few were not super obvious and we had to get hints.

Pretty good first Gen room, a lot of key and code hunting but made some sense thematically. Starts out kind of slow but then accelerates quickly at the end.

This room was an enjoyable, run of the mill, escape room experience. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating to our needs. We booked this room straight after finishing their Jack the Ripper room, we just couldn't get enough. Theming for this room was fun, if you enjoy the titanic or general boat talk, this room will be for you. Puzzles require team work and strong communication.

Loved the theming and props!! The puzzles thematically made sense! The music was very fitting for the situation, especially if you watched the Titanic movie. Shoutouts to our GM who was really helpful and ensured we succeeded and had a great time for a birthday celebration!

There are some really cool set pieces in this room and some clever puzzles.

A solid room with a nice story and decent puzzles. Very approachable for players of any experience.
