Baruta's Revenge

Room set up was pretty good. It’s was a very hard room and one of the few we didn’t escape. The difficulty for us was the room didn’t have a good flow to it. A lot of repeating the same processes and using the previous rooms or props. Hint system takes a long while so it burns up a lot of time. Lighting is very dim. I don’t believe anyone has ever done it on time without some insider knowledge. There is just no way possible.

Granted this game is one of their harder ones and I played it with only one other person. When you ask for a clue/hint- the 10 min process to get the hint takes away time and makes it that much harder to play. The room is difficult, but that part with the hints really makes you feel already defeated since the hint takes away from time.

Baruta’s revenge is an incredibly challenging room, with next level immersion. From the second your game master says “Are you ready to start” til the very end you’re thrilled and moving at a fast pace. We played with just two of us, and were challenged the entire way. I truly enjoy their unique hint giving system, as well as their use of theatrics for interacting with your gamemaster.

This is definitely one of the hardest rooms I have done. I’m not sure I would recommend doing this unless you’re prepared to do it twice. Some of the puzzles are just pointless time sucks (yelling over and over, waiting for things to move) that kind of killed the experience for me. The overall experience and design are amazing, but it seems like they made it almost impossible to get out on purpose for no real reason.
