Really enjoyed this game. The GM was great, we finished with no hints taken. Everything worked well and flowed nicely. Our team split up and tackled puzzles simultaneously.

In the 1970s, a brutal serial killer made the San Francisco area unsafe. His nickname was the Zodiac Killer, because of the cryptic letters he sent to police and newspapers. He has at least seven murders on his conscience, but it could be many, many more. Enter the home of the main suspect, Arthur Leigh Allen. What keeps him busy, what kind of someone are we dealing with? Is he the infamous Zodiac Killer or just an innocent citizen?

Zodiac Killer may be over seven years old, but it still holds up well, especially in terms of décor and effects. The puzzles, however, show their age, relying on more traditional mechanics. We played as a group of five, with three first-timers (one pressed the emergencia straight after entering🫣, was not mentioned during the intro), which made solving the puzzles more challenging. The non-linear structure added to the chaos, especially for newbies, but the hint were well-paced, and we managed to escape with under a minute left. This room is best suited for experienced players who enjoy classic puzzle designs. Still, it’s a solid and enjoyable experience. I’d also highly recommend their other two rooms, Bermuda Expedition and Illuminati, for those looking for something more modern and immersive.
