Mumifiziert [Mummified]

Really fun game that prooves that you don’t need a lot of space for a good experience. The puzzles are the main reason to play this room and we’ve had so much fun solving them, especially in the first half. It is a two person game so choose your team-mate wisely because they will make a lot of the expeirence. I very much recommend this one, it might be my new favourite in Vienna.

Gleich beim Betreten der Location hat man gemerkt, dass die gesamte Organisation Exitrooms mit viel Liebe und Hingabe betreibt. Deko und Gestaltung des Eingangsbereich war stimmig und top, Sanitäre anlagen sauber und es gab genügend Schließfächer für Wertgegenstände, Jacken etc. Auch die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und enthusiastisch. An der Stelle ein großes Dankeschön an Clarissa für die tolle Betreuung! Der Raum an sich war spannend und aufregend, die Rätsel von einfach bis schwierig gestaltet. Alles in allem eine gute Steigerung während dem Spiel. Der Raum kann nur von 2 Personen gespielt werden und setzt dabei auf Teamwork und Kommunikation. Die Mechaniken der einzelnen Rätsel funktionierten fehlerfrei. Licht- und Audioqueues lassen die Spieler wissen, ob sie auf der richtigen Fährte sind. Für mich und meine Freundin war es ein tolles Erlebnis, da wir Exitrooms bisher nur in Gruppen mit anderen Paaren gespielt haben.

A strictly two-player game, which uses a quite small space very cleverly. The puzzles were unusual, but in a couple of cases a little “undercooked” - we had one puzzle we solved before finding all of the pieces “necessary”, and one where the tool provided was low quality and it made the puzzle very finicky to solve. The “twist” at the end was very predictable - in fact I did predict it before we went into the room, and annoyingly, it had no impact on the puzzles at all, so it could have been a much more creative answer to the question. With a little bit more effort this rooms could easily be turned into a “love” rating. As is I still recommend it if you happen to be in town with a 2nd escape enthusiast.

Highest recommendation. It’s rare to find a game designed for exactly two players, and even rarer to find one where the division of labor and information is balanced so that both players are fully engaged throughout the experience. This game does a nearly perfect job — it’s my favorite two-player game of all time. Every puzzle (and the game is a nonstop puzzlefest) requires the two players to collaborate, share information, and work together. There’s a story but it’s not the main focus: you’re trapped in separate deathtrap rooms in an ancient pyramid and you need to work together to get out. Do note that they really do mean it when they say it is for exactly two players. There’s not enough room for more people and honestly the design is just right. If you want to know whether you’re on the same wavelength as someone, this game would be a great way to find out!

One of my favourite games ever! The game uses its very small footprint brilliantly, and the fact that it’s designed for exactly two players makes for a great experience. The story and atmosphere of the room are great, make sense and there’s even an unexpected twist along the way. The space is very small, and filled with puzzles, but still flows really well, which speaks volume for the game design. We loved that the puzzles really force you to work and communicate well with your partner. It never becomes boring for one of you as the other is solving something, as you’re always solving things together. Our host was also very nice, and even remembered our names for giving clear hints =) We’ll definitely come back every time we’re in Vienna!
