We were 6 people, used to escape rooms. Flow was clunky, riddles were so linear, we mostly had to wait for people to solve them before moving on, which made the whole thing very slow and a bit boring

Come revisit or discover this new version of the Cadavera Affair. We have modified Montreal's most famous exhibition to allow you to experience it from a new angle. Lord Fitzwilliam Cadavera was found murdered in his Manor on May 3, 1931. Investigators concluded that the culprit was the Manor's maid, Mrs. Maille-O'Neil, who always maintained her innocence. Some say that the investigation was nothing more than a crude farce and that some evidence was deliberately excluded. After decades of being sealed, the office where this crime was committed is finally open to the public. You might even sharpen your detective instincts there.

A murder mystery style game that is fun to deduce as a large logic puzzle. Definitely a fun way to get the back story of the whole manor history. Great checkpoints and fun interactions with our host.

We did really.enjoy this one. Combined a typical escape room with an investigation, which was fun for us. The only problem that I had with this room is the ending was a little too ambiguous. We had to ask our GM if our answer was right because when we submitted it we had no idea if we were correct or not, but aside from that this was a very solid and well executed experience.
Gameplay
Game play flowed very well. Some puzzles were reminiscent of others that we had seen before, others were things we had never seen before.
Atmosphere
Set design on this one was tight. But I feel the concept limits the ability for the REAL immersion that we usually go for.
Customer service
GM was amazing throughout the entire experience at The Manor. We loved the way that it never felt like we were "doing an escape room" so much as looking for clues.

(je suis un employé d'Ezkapaz) Je viens de faire la "V2" de l'affaire Cadavera et mon rating a changé ainsi que mon avis sur le jeu. Un pouce bleu avant et maintenant un pouce jaune. Le jeu n'a pas beaucoup changé, mais les changements apportés font une belle différence à mon avis. De nouvelles énigmes plus à jour qui ajoutent à la salle ainsi qu'une histoire/un but plus claire que j'aime vraiment beaucoup. Si vous avez déjà fait le jeu auparavant je ne vous conseille pas nécessairement de venir refaire la salle surtout que plus de la moitié des énigmes sont les mêmes. Par contre, si vous n'avez jamais fait cette salle, je vous la conseille fortement. Bon jeu, bonnes énigmes et un concept qu'on ne voit étonnamment pas souvent, du moins sous cette forme. 6/10
