The Trap from Escape Play in Murcia was the second room we played during our holiday trip to Spain with friends and their 10 year-old daughter. The room offered a fun experience with a good variety of puzzles and a nice progression in the story, building up to an intense and exciting finale. The overall quality was solid, and with a few improvements, it could easily reach a consistently higher level. One puzzle unfortunately didn’t work as intended, and the GM’s microphone volume was quite loud throughout, which slightly impacted the immersion, especially for the youngest player. We asked if it could be lowered, but it wasn’t possible. The theme was really well executed, and the 10-year-old had a great time, despite the volume issue. Very much recommended if you are in the area, a must play for experienced players, and newbies should ideally have at least one experienced teammate with them.
