This was a really neat room! We were in San Jose for the weekend and thought weβd give it a try - we loved how unique the puzzles were and how nice staff were! The room was super immersive and well themed too. The puzzles definitely took some thinking - it often took us a try or two to find the right approach.

Rooms were fairly dark, and you must be able to move fairly easily for one puzzle

Kingdom of Cats: Trapped in a kingdom of felines, we were compelled to compete in a tournament to crown the wisest cat in the kingdom. The only way to escape perpetual imprisonment was to compete alongside our feline friends. Dark Altar: We found ourselves trapped inside the Copenheimer Museum where an archaeology obsessed collector had initiated a dark ritual. Our goal was to work our way through the museum to discover and stop the ritual. Joker's Asylum: A maniacal Joker was locked away in an asylum after a tragic incident at the circus. The Joker had escaped. We were tasked with discovering the Joker's secrets and escaping the asylum. Pandemic Zero: A super virus has sickened the city. We must break into the lab and finish work on the cure. Pros: The physical layout of Omescape from the waiting area to the game-play areas is clean, orderly and visually appealing. The puzzles are mostly linear, less about searching and more about thinking critically. Set-design is appealing and clearly tied to the overarching storyline. The games are scaled at different difficulty levels and geared toward different group sizes. Game moderators can be helpful and willing to provide assistance if asked. Cons: The puzzles in their rooms tend to be geometrical or symbol-based. We found the puzzles quite complex in all three games and extremely difficult to solve without assistance from the game masters. Scaling of the puzzles within each individual game could have helped us with the puzzle-solving process. Overall, we find their games overly complex. The friendliness of the game masters and their willingness to offer relevant clues helped prevent frustration and a complete mental melt-down of players.

Overall, this is a very creative and well-themed escape room. However, going with a group of 6 people was too many. This is a perfect escape room for 2-4 people.

This is a great room because of the set decoration--as are all of OMEscape's rooms. You are immersed in the experience from the moment you step through the doorway. There were a couple of times we wished we had paper and pencil to keep our thoughts in order, and one of the puzzles was either finicky or slightly malfunctioning (or we didn't puzzle it out correctly), but other than that it was a pretty smooth ride. It was my cousin's first escape room, and I think it was a pretty good starter room.

A lot of the puzzles were on par with other rooms at OMEscape. It's not your standard, run-of-the-mill type room, but it's also not especially new and innovative.

I'd say it was more high tech than analog.

I would worry that kids any younger might get bored?

I *think* one of the puzzles wasn't acting correctly, but I'm not entirely sure. Either something wasn't lighting up right, or maybe we hadn't figured it out?

You did have to climb through a couple of things.
Not very accessible. There was a spot where people had to step on specific spaces and climb through. Wouldn't work well for someone with mobility issues.

Some fun and unique puzzles with minor theming. Definitely showed its age and was pretty easy for us. We needed one hint and the GM had to come in at one point and fix a puzzle which we were pretty confident we had solved properly, we had.
Fun puzzles, lots of different ones.
Nothing amazing, but it was ok.
Gm was fine, were showed up right on time and they kind of rushed us in. Handled a problem with the room decently well.

The puzzle is different and a pretty fun! We really enjoy it. Lesson learned: always check if all pieces are found before starting cracking the puzzle.

The room was nicely themed and the puzzles were fun and some challenging. Had to ask for a hint several times and unfortunately the gamemaster was never paying any attention to our progress nor cared to give us decent clues to move along in the game. Players, go in playing like there is no gamemaster to assist you in your struggles. If you can do that you should check this room out.

Completed with 4 people including 3 first timers Puzzles were interesting and different. I would not rate this a medium room like the booking website states. 7/10

The gameplay was decent. Game master was nice, but we didnβt get a story of what the room was about before we went in which definitely hindered our experience. Some things such as storyline didnβt make sense until after we escaped.

A good room for Omespace but not a standout one. Theme was incorporated well into puzzles, but the story was just meh. Everything was logical. Worth a visit if you live in the area, but if youβre visiting, start with another room.
