Overall, enjoyed the room. There were some issues with the AC and some of the puzzles operationally but the staff (and GM, in particular) were great and worked with us. The concept is good here, but it just doesn’t flow well. Part of the issues were with puzzles not working even when solved correctly, but overall it’s just not that fun to get everything from a notebook. Having said that, I still enjoyed the game. It’s tricky to get everything done in the time limit and it’s not an easy room. But the theming is good and with a few tweaks, this could be a really good room.
Flow was a little off. There were some fun and well-themed puzzles but getting almost all the clues from a notebook instead of in the rooms wasn’t great
Atmosphere was good; well designed and some fun special effects.
GM was amazing! Staff overall was great, too.
A little disjointed. Again, getting everything from a notebook was off-putting
Hard
The final puzzle in particular was a little fidgety and difficult to get just right
Some high tech effects and some mechanical

Did the double booking here for my birthday one year and the rooms are so well decorated and themed! Great technical elements and puzzles. A good time was had by all.

The room was nicely themed and I always appreciate the staff. We had a scheduling snafu with their system double booking a room, but they were accommodating and helpful. We struggled on the last puzzle as the setup was finicky and, despite correct placement, didn’t immediately trigger the completion. Nonetheless, I’d go back!

Overall a good experience and I feel a little bad for the slightly negative review. Our game master and honestly all the present staff was super nice during the whole experience and I would really hate to give the impression that our experience was bad based on their effort. So my friend’s finger got stuck in a puzzle so much so that the fire department had to come extract him. I know it sounds crazy but it happened. Also, shoutout to the Plano fire department for being super professional and getting it done, good people. We ended up finishing the room but I was somewhat surprised that management didn’t offer a refund, a future discount or even check on us after the fact. Oh well. Maybe they can add to the “we escaped” or “almost escaped” sign with one the reads “had to be physically extracted by the fire department”

Love all of Red Door Escape Rooms! When you walk into the rooms, it really feels like you’re in that environment. Highly recommend them! And you get 20% off of their other rooms you book more.

Definitely an immersive room! The props at this location are just so cool- it feels like you’re truly transported to a different world. On that same note is a slight complaint, when people complete their rooms and hit the “win” button, it absolutely destroys the immersion temporarily, maybe soundproofing could help with that? Lost Ruins was a unique room, not traditional puzzles and locks, which is always cool. Some things requiring some hoop jumping.

Good sets and fun, although a loose access panel certainly looked like a puzzle.

Fun room. Probably could be a 1 1/2 hour room. A lot of stuff we didn’t even get to.

There were lots of technical issues in this room. Other than that the room was good.
