17 escape rooms

There were multiple rooms and all of them had a good amount of number and word scrambling puzzles. The first and second room also had fun physical games. When we got to the last room, we were treated to another collection of fun puzzles. A few of the puzzles in the last room required us to look back in the first room. Our game master (Julian) was very welcoming and helpful throughout. Our group had a great time here!

Atmosphere

Our group enjoyed the carnival theme. The rooms were thoughtfully put together. The second room was slightly dimmer than the rest.

Was anything broken?

One of the physical games requires the pieces to fall into specific spots, but the pieces tend to get stuck before they fall into the right spots. We wasted some time trying to get the pieces unstuck. After we escaped, our game master informed us of a trick to bypass the drop to get the pieces to the right spots directly.

The parking along the street that's parallel to 680 was full when we got there. We waited close to 10 minutes for a spot to open up. I'm sure there are more parking on the courtyard side.

Fun carnival games especially for the kids. They were able to handle some of the puzzles independently and simple. Good flow with the rooms. Only needed one clue for the final puzzle.

There were no flashing lights, bright lights, or loud noises. There weren’t any stairs or crawlspaces, but there was a tunnel that might be a bit narrow for a wheelchair. There is a door to skip the tunnel if one person can get through.

Amazing room! I went in hoping to find some fun carnival-game themed puzzles, and I was not disappointed! A great mix of mental and physical.

Gameplay

Super fun, clever puzzles with a good mix of logic and dexterity!

Atmosphere

Very thematic and unique props. Hard to convey how cool without spoiling anything so you’ll have to trust me on this one!

Love the carnival themed dexterity puzzles! So fun!

Story

I don’t really remember “why” we were solving the puzzles, but they were well integrated into the carnival theme!

Difficulty

Hard

Challenging even for my experienced family. Not arbitrarily hard —the solutions make sense once you figure them out.

High tech

Some very clever sensors and electronics, and a lot of custom mechanical features. Nothing super magical but very high-tech mechanical features.

Enter by walking around the side from the main courtyard—the storefront is visible from below in the front, but there’s no entrance facing the courtyard.

My first ever escape room, played it in June 2019 and it was a great experience. Love the little details, the teamwork needed, and the mini games.

My favorite room at Red Door. Had a group of 4 go through it. There were a lot of puzzles, everyone had something to. Fun props and decorations. Puzzles were thought provoking and mechanical. Great staff, great time.
