The room is based on the Spanish TV series La Casa de Papel (Money Heist). Dressed in masks and costumes and armed, the task seems relatively simple: to rob the bank “The Royal Mint of Spain.” But once you get started, the task isn’t as simple as expected. When the room begins, you stand in a dimly lit bank where the security system is activated. The atmosphere is set, and you buy into the illusion—but unfortunately, the lights turn on as soon as you disable the security system, which somewhat breaks the experience. Overall, the room is sparsely furnished, and if you don’t need to use something, it’s probably glued down. Some of the props were very worn, which didn’t make the puzzles any harder. There are some distractions included along the way, which is quite nice. We spent too much time on several puzzles, which was very frustrating and disrupted the flow of the room for us—one of the reasons being that the item needed to solve a puzzle was so worn that it was extremely hard to see what you were supposed to see. The design is somewhat saved by the many layers in the room, which was quite nice as more and more was built onto the experience.
