You are a group of low-level scientists working at the ominous Umbra Industries. Operating deep underground in a highly-secretive facility, you only hear rumors of dark projects well above your paygrade. In order to safeguard the world, and the company’s stock price, the laboratory has contagion lockdown protocols to prevent any of the insidious experiments from escaping. Bypassing these protocols is nearly impossible… As you prepare to leave for the day, a contagion lockdown suddenly begins. You search for your administrator and come face-to-face with the horrifying results of those classified experiments: zombies! As the last remaining uninfected personnel, your only hope for survival is finding a way to neutralize this biohazard threat and access to the airlock before the facility is sealed shut forever. You only have 60 minutes to find your administrator's key card while using lab reports and unique chemical components to create a vaccine. Can you finish before the facility is permanently sealed, or will you be trapped in the lockdown forever and join the zombie horde?

12 escape rooms

I was so excited to try this room as I live on the south shore and was excited to find a place that didn’t require me to go into Boston. I am sorry to say this room wasn’t good. It was uninspired and unnecessarily difficult. We found it to have too many dead ends, puzzles that were insanely counterintuitive and very little innovation. We didn’t like how our guide would just pop in at random- it’s much better to have a screen of some sort to communicate hints with- having our person come in really broke concentration and focus. There were basically just locks that needed to be opened and not much guiding us in the right direction. I would not recommend this room at all and I am unlikely to visit All In Adventures in the future. Too bad, I really wanted to like them!

Gameplay

This was a tried and true “discover the cure” room but it lacked creativity and just wasn’t any fun to play.

Atmosphere

This was a small room with an open ceiling- like a large cubicle. There was little design and no tech. Instead of having a means to communicate with the players that wasn’t intrusive, the guide would just randomly pop in to the room to give hints or just check in which really ruined the moment.

Customer service
Particularly interesting or different

No

This was just a “find a cure” zombie room, but without any props or tech that made it immersive.

Story
Difficulty

Expert

I am only saying the room is “expert” because it was nearly impossible to finish. There were like a million red herrings and the actual path of clues you needed to follow to reach the cure was so difficult and confusing that the guide literally couldn’t remember what some of the steps were. This was “difficult” for the sake of being hard- not fun.

Game tech

Mechanical

There was no tech- all regular combination locks and letter locks.

Ideal number of players

I don’t think that more than 3 people would be comfortable in this small room.
