The Tree of Life is dying, and only you can save it! Fantasy, whimsy, and a little bit of drama await both first-time players and experienced enthusiasts in Magic Kingdom Escape Room, which is a medium difficulty escape room game in Koreatown, LA that offers a spellbinding adventure to captivate both children and adults. You and your friends have been transported to an otherworldly land known as the Magic Kingdom, where a mysterious curse threatens the ancient Tree of Life! Sitting for eons at the heart of the Enchanted Forest, the Tree of Life is the source of all the magic in the world. While old and powerful, the tree isn’t immortal – its roots are nourished by the elemental water from a magic wishing well near the tree. Alas, an evil magic from an unknown source has descended upon the Magic Kingdom Escape Room, cursing the wishing well and causing the elemental water to run dry! You and your band of magicians are the only ones with the power to end the curse and save the tree before it withers away – but you only have one hour to do it! After 60 minutes, the tree will fade away, and the Magic Kingdom will be lost! Get ready to embrace your inner child, and work together to recover the three elemental wands whose power you’ll need to save the tree. Along the way, you’ll enlist the help of a colorful cast of magical creatures, including fairies, a jackalope, and a talking mouse who will guide you in your quest. Who knows, maybe the friendly giant will even wake up long enough to lend a hand! Located in the heart of Koreatown, Maze Rooms on S. Vermont offers some of the most exciting escape room experiences in Los Angeles. The storyline and flow of puzzles in this room made very little sense to us, it was a bit of a random guess or notice this tiny detail and loosely tie it to something else to figure out the next step. I was shocked bc it’s reviewed so well and won lots of awards, but we didn’t enjoy it unfortunately

Quite enjoyed this room, although it’s in need of a refresh. A number of puzzles didn’t quite work the first or second (or third…) time, even though we’d indeed solved it.
Some fun puzzles, although many didn’t seem to quite function as they ought to
Some very fun and surprising elements and spaces
Medium
Needed a few hints, although some were offered without prompting
Yes
A few puzzles were quite finicky to the point of frustration. Feels like a room due for a sprucing
Somewhat
Really fun and surprising physical element
Requires at least one player without mobility limitations
The first puzzle is finding the elevator!
Limited
Crowded and tight, but ultimately found something in time

Great production value! The game master Armand was so great and playful! The fantasy theme was super strong and pervaded throughout all of the game.

After finishing three rooms with Maze, I think I don’t need to try any of their other rooms. They have one similarity in all the rooms I tried: Puzzles DO NOT FLOW WELL. We were left with an empty feeling even though they had put a lot of effort into the props. Our GM was…not attentive. I didn’t want to say anything mean or bad about others, but we felt awkward talking to him. After we finished the room, he walked in and asked us about the experience. After we answered, there was an uncomfortable silence that I don’t know how to describe. He was like this before going to the room. We love magical themes, but this one left us speechless, not in a good way. Overall, this room was OVERRATED.

This Maze Rooms location has multiple of the worst rooms we’ve done. This room along with Abyss are particularly terrible. MULTIPLE broken objects and puzzles stopped us from moving forward in this highly linear room. The GM did not catch this and we ended up struggling until asking for hint revealed we had already solved a puzzle. This happened THREE different times. Even if many of the puzzles operated correctly, they made very little sense in the first place. There was little indication of correctly solved puzzles and doors would silently open with no indication of where. Along with broken puzzles, this room not only has very bad fit and finish from when it was originally but also has plenty of signs of wear. 3/10. Would not recommend.

Really enjoyed the room. There are a few moments when the clues / direction of the next steps isn’t very clear but great otherwise!

Fun game, likely good for kids too, and the game master (Miriam) was great.
