Chapter 1: Occam's Apartment

Lots of escape rooms are grabbing a key to open a door to grab a key to open a box to grab a key... This one is definitely just a piece of art. Soooooo good. Incredible experience. The design philosophy here is centered on building immersion but they do not slouch in puzzle design. Best escape room I've ever done! So good I made an account on Morty to log it.

I really enjoyed this game. You can tell they really care about your experience. Jack was our GM. He was there for us when we needed him to push us along. He never gave us an answer but helped trigger us to think differently. He was great at his job. Ken greeted us when we got there and explained to us how the game worked. Both Ken and Jack were great! We will definitely be back for the two other games. I’m also excited that they are expanding.

Chapter one was such a great intro into what will unfold into an even more sinister trilogy! Loved the story and the set design and the unique nostalgic puzzles that came along with it.

That set is amazing. There's a really unique puzzle in there that blew my mind. I screamed from how much fun I was having. Let's just say I'd live there.

The technically coolest and most impressive room I've played. I'm really looking forward to chapter 2!

This was such a joy-filled and carefully constructed series of rooms (we did Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 together). I could not recommend it more highly. We did it as a duo and found chapter 1 challenging, but very enjoyable, and chapter 2 to be much more smooth sailing. Chapter 1 is more narrative-focused, and chapter 2 is more of a traditional escape room. If you're on the fence about going, I highly recommend taking the plunge, and if possible, asking to play Chapter 1 and 2 together over 3 intense and perfectly choreographed hours.

Off the Couch games offer a really unique experience for escape rooms that build on top of each other and vary based off of your decisions in the game. Episode 1 is excellent, with really specific and cool tech that adds to the overall experience. Highly recommend!

This room has unique interactive puzzles that sync the ambiance. Very impressive gameplay (NPC) programming that is specific to the storyline. We have not encountered this in any escape room, yet. You can feel the flow of the story and the attention to detail put into each puzzle. The storyline kept us in suspense for the entire duration. Our game master, Alex, kept us fully immersed from start to finish! He definitely made sure we were able to get the full experience that this room has to offer. The calculated time given to complete the room is accurate, and we highly recommend playing this room (Chapter 1) first…and continue each room in sequential order. This escape can be enjoyed by all levels of escape enthusiasts. We were able to complete the room with two (2) players; however I think the recommend 4 would be best. Amazing experience overall! Well deserving of Best of Morty award 🏆.

Very unique approach to escape rooms. 1 of 12 rooms in a continuous story series that flows well from one to the next. No reliance on lock/key/mechanical. Inventive, immersive gameplay with live actor and GM. Note: More than one way to escape this room! Challenging puzzles and unique game. Super fun room.
