Nearly a century ago, an evil witch’s ghost haunted Frederick until three benevolent witches trapped her in an enchanted box. Now, the ghost has been accidentally released by teenagers, posing a new threat. As a ghost hunter, your mission is to recapture this malevolent spirit. To do so, locate the original banishing spell hidden in her home and cast it before midnight. If you fail, the ghost will be free to leave her confines and haunt the town once more. Time is ticking – can you banish her again?

Everyone was great except for the opening guy who was very rude. I go in more depth under my service review so if you want to read that you can. The puzzles weren’t overly difficult and just require you to be quick since they are time consuming.

It was okay/good. One of the props I remember didn’t work right but otherwise I liked it a lot. It was do-able and had some fun moments. It’s a traditional looking escape room, nothing loud and crazy, but it was a good game. However, the game master was really rude. He admitted he had no faith in us and wanted to brush us off for that reason and looked down on us bc there was an older woman in our party. So I don’t recommend the customer service but I recommend giving the room a shot.

Thank you for your visit. We are glad you enjoyed the room. We do apologize if you felt offended by the game master. He meant no disrespect when he commented that he had no faith in your team. This was said in admiration for the incredible job the team did despite the small amount of experience or because of the number of players in the group. It is to say your group wowed him and it was not presented the correct way. Sorry once again, but this is not the vibe we at escape this are accustomed too, and we will do better.

Husband and I completed with time to spare... but we were on our A-game and we used all 3 clues. This is my current favorite room in Frederick. It was very well thought out and researched. The scary element had me jumping (but I'm a huge wuss!) but they didn't distract or prevent me from making progress. The lights never stayed out for long (and it wasn't ever pitch black). The swinging chandelier was a fun touch. We struggled with one of the decoding tasks and completely overlooked a clue given near the beginning until we were near the end.

I HATE scary. Crane Manor at Clue IQ was a little much for me. This room was just right. I never felt stressed out, even though I did jump a few times!

This game had me jumping! Escape This did an excellent job of incorporating scares and creepy elements with extremely solid and unique puzzles. I 100% prefer this room to other horror games that rely on the scary element for difficulty and excitement. This game crushed it in that department AND the puzzle department.

We definitely have mixed feelings about this room. The atmosphere was done well, but we felt that the puzzles did not flow as well as we wished. Some parts of the room felt as if they were added for the sake of wasting time. The room setting was definitely spooky but some of the effects were difficult to understand if they were apart of a puzzle or not. 4.9/10

One of my favorite escape rooms of all time. This one may be my favorite escape room in Frederick! The best part about this room is how well everything works together. The puzzles were great, the atmosphere was the right amount of spooky without it being distracting, and the story was as close to authentic as possible. This room was so much fun!
